Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti belanja pemerintah daerah, sektor unggulan dan angka partisipasi sekolah terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi yang berdampak pada kesempatan kerja dan kemiskinan. Belanja pemerintah daerah diproxy dengan belanja langsung dan belanja tidak langsung, sektor unggulan diukur dalam penelitian ini yaitu pertanian dan pertambangan. Sedangkan angka parstisipasi sekolah diukur dengan penduduk yang bersekolah pada tingkat pendidikan dasar (SD), tingkat pendidikan menengah pertama (SMP) dan tingkat pendidikan menengah atas (SMA). Wilayah analisis dalam penelitian ini yaitu 10 kabupaten/ kota di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat selama tahun 2010-2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis multivariate dengan program SPSS. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga model. Model pertama menganalisis hubungan antara variabel belanja pemerintah daerah, sektor unggulan dan angka partisipasi sekolah terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Model kedua dan ketiga menganalisis dampaknya terhadap kesempatan kerja dan tingkat kemiskinan. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa hanya variabel belanja pemerintah daerah, sektor pertanian, sektor pertambangan dan partisipasi sekolah menengah atas (SMA) yang berpengaruh pada pertumbuhan ekonomi yang berdampak pada kesempatan kerja dan kemiskinan. Sedangkan angka partisipasi sekolah di tingkat pendidikan dasar (SD) dan angka partisipasi sekolah di tingkat pendidikan menengah (SMP) tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi yang berdampak pada kesempatan kerja dan kemiskinan di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat

This study aims to examine regional government expenditure, leading sectors, and school participation rates on economic growth that give impacts on employment opportunities and poverty. Regional government expenditure involves direct and indirect expenditure, and the leading sectors in this research measured from agriculture and mining. While the school participation rate is measured by the number of societieties who study until Elementary School (SD) level, Junior High School (SMP) level, and Senior High School (SMA) level. The sample of this research is 10 regencies or cities in West Nusa Tenggara during 2010-2017. This research uses multivariate analysis using SPSS program (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). This research uses three models. The first model analyzes the relationship between regional government expenditure variables, leading sectors, and school participation rates on economic growth. The second and third models analyze their impacts on employment opportunities and poverty rates. The results prove that only the government expenditure variable, the agricultural sector, the mining sector, and Senior High School participation affect economic growth, which affect employment opportunities and poverty. While the school participation rates of the Elementary School (SD) level and at the Junior High School (SMP) level do not affect economic growth which effect employment opportunities and poverty in West Nusa Tenggara
