Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menunjukkan pentingnya manajer perusahaan mengelola leverage dan kebijakan deviden perusahaan agar mendapatkan nilai perusahaan yang tinggi untuk mengirimkan sinyal positif kepada investor, serta menjadi bahan pertimbangan investor untuk berinvestasi pada suatu perusahaan. Nilai perusahaan merupakan refleksi dari baik atau buruknya kinerja perusahaan, maka nilai perusahaan harus tetap dipertahankan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada sub sektor makanan dan minuman yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) tahun 2014-2018, Mengingat sektor ini memiliki permintaan yang tinggi, serta sektor ini dapat berikan konstribusi pada pendapatan negara. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan pengaruh leverage dan kebijakan deviden terhadap nilai perusahaan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksplanatori dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 18 perusahaan dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah leverage dan kebijakan deviden sedangkan variabel dependenya adalah nilai perusahaan. Variabel independen tersebut akan diuji secara simultan dan parsial terhadap nilai perusahaan dengan menggunakan bantuan software Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) versi 23. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan secara simultan dengan variabel leverage dan kebijakan deviden terhadap variabel nilai perusahaan. Secara Parsial, hanya variabel leverage yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan sedangkan variabel kebijakan deviden memiliki pengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan.

English Abstract

This research was conducted to show the importance of company managers managing leverage and company dividend policies in order to get high company value to send positive signals to investors, as well as being a material for investors to consider investing in a company. Company value is a reflection of the good or bad performance of the company, then the company's value must be maintained. This research was conducted in the food and beverage sub sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2014-2018, given that this sector has high demand, and this sector can contribute to state revenues. The purpose of this study is to explain the effect of leverage and dividend policy on firm value. This type of research is explanatory research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were 18 companies with a purposive sampling technique. The independent variables in this study are leverage and dividend policy while the dependent variable is firm value. The independent variable will be tested simultaneously and partially on the value of the company using the help of Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 23. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence simultaneously with the variable leverage and dividend policy on the firm value variable. Partially, only the leverage variable has a significant effect on firm value while the dividend policy variable has no significant effect on firm value.
