Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh kepemilikan usaha non pertanian oleh rumah tangga tentang partisipasi anak di sekolah menengah di Indonesia; daerah ini penelitian telah menerima sedikit perhatian akhir-akhir ini. Makalah ini menggunakan Kumpulan data Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS) yang berisi berbagai tingkat data, mulai dari data tingkat individu hingga data tingkat komunitas untuk dianalisis. Menggunakan model regresi logistik binomial, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kepemilikan non- perusahaan pertanian umumnya meningkatkan kemungkinan partisipasi anak-anak dalam pendidikan menengah, khususnya sekolah menengah atas. Estimasi lebih lanjut menggunakan pencocokan skor kecenderungan menunjukkan bahwa rumah tangga dengan non-pertanian perusahaan cenderung memiliki pengeluaran yang lebih tinggi untuk biaya sekolah daripada yang tidak tidak memiliki usaha non pertanian.
English Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of ownership of non-farm enterprises by households on child participation in a secondary school in Indonesia; this area of research has received scant attention in recent times. This paper uses the Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS) data set that contains different levels of data, ranging from individual-level data to community-level data for the analysis. Using a binomial logistic regression model, this study finds that the ownership of non- farm enterprises generally increases the likelihood of children participation in secondary education, especially senior high school. Further estimation using propensity score matching demonstrates that households with non-farm enterprises tend to have a higher spending on school expenses than those that do not have non-farm enterprises.
