Abstract

Self-cured acrylic yang sebelumnya diusulkan menjadi bahan model gigi belum memiliki perbedaan modulus elastisitas yang signifikan dan nilainya lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan model gigi buatan pabrik. Bahan tambahan berupa nano-HA tulang sapi dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini. Nano-HA tulang sapi diproduksi dengan metode presipitasi dan milling. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penambahan nano-HA tulang sapi terhadap modulus elastisitas model gigi berbahan self-cured acrylic sebagai media pembelajaran keterampilan klinis prostodonsia. Digunakan pendekatan observational analytic dan rancangan penelitian post-test-only control group design dengan empat kelompok sampel berbentuk silinder dengan tinggi 12 mm dan diameter 6 mm yang terdiri dari 6 acrylic cylinder berbahan self-cured acrylic dan masing-masing 6 acrylic cylinder berbahan self-cured acrylic dengan penambahan nano-HA tulang sapi sebanyak 2%, 5%, dan 8%. Sampel diinkubasi pada suhu 37°C di dalam akuabides selama 24 jam. Uji modulus elastisitas dilakukan dengan uji tekan menggunakan universal testing machine. Hasil uji Kruskal-Wallis menunjukkan signifikansi sebesar 0,038 sehingga terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara modulus elastisitas model gigi berbahan self-cured acrylic dan modulus elastisitas model gigi berbahan self-cured acrylic dengan penambahan nano-HA tulang sapi sehingga bahan campuran ini layak menjadi media pembelajaran baru dalam keterampilan klinis prostodonsia.

English Abstract

Self-cured acrylic, which was previously proposed as a dental model material, doesn’t yet have a significant difference in elastic modulus and its value is lower compared to factory-made dental models. The additional material, bovine bone nano-HA was developed in this study. Bovine bone nano-HA is produced by the method of presipitation and milling. This study aims to look at the effect of addition of bovine bone nanohydroxyapatite on the modulus of elasticity of a self-curedacrylic- based dental model as a learning media for prosthodontics clinical skills. An analytical observational approach and post-test-only control group design was used with four groups of cylinder-shaped samples with a height of 12 mm and a diameter of 6 mm consisting of 6 acrylic cylinders made of self-cured acrylic and each of 6 cylinders made of self-cured acrylic with the addition of bovine bone nano-HA as much as 2%, 5%, and 8%. Samples were incubated at 37°C in aquabides for 24 hours. The modulus of elasticity test was carried out by performing a compressive test using the universal testing machine. The results of the Kruskal-Wallis test showed a significance of 0.038 so that there was a significant difference between the elastic modulus of the self-cured-acrylic-based dental model and the elastic modulus of the self-cured-acrylic-based with the addition of bovine bone nano-HA dental model so that this mixed ingredients is suitable as a new learning medium in prosthodontics clinical skills.
