Abstract

Penelitian mengenai sistem panas bumi telah dilakukan di daerah Cangar, kompleks Gunung Arjuno-Welirang, Jawa Timur. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode magnetotelurik dan data geokimia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sistem panas bumi berdasarkan persebaran resistivitas, menentukan tipe air dan temperatur reservoar, serta potensi panas bumi Cangar. Akusisi data magnetotelurik dilakukan di 11 titik dengan spasi 70 meter sampai 150 meter, yang terbagi menjadi 5 lintasan. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data magnetotelurik diperoleh rentang nilai resistivitas berkisar antara 4 .m – 2000 .m. Hasil pemodelan menunjukkan bahwa sistem panas bumi di daerah Cangar terdiri dari lapisan penudung (≤21 .m), lapisan reservoar (21 .m – 167 .m) dan lapisan sumber panas (≥167 .m). Sementara itu, berdasarkan data geokimia, diketahui bahwa tipe air panas di daerah Cangar adalah bikarbonat, dan memiliki temperatur reservoar ±300°C. Korelasi dari metode magnetotelurik dan data geokimia digunakan untuk perhitungan potensi panas bumi. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan potensi panas bumi daerah penelitian diperoleh sebesar 4,8 MWe.

English Abstract

A research has been done in Cangar area of complex of Mt.Arjuno-Welirang, East Java. This research uses magnetotelluric method and geochemical data. The purpose of this research are to identify the geothermal system of research area based on its resistivity values, types of fluids and temperatures of reservoir, and also to determine the energy potential of research area. Acquisitions of magnetotelluric data were done in 11 points with spaces of 70 meters up to 150 meters. Magnetotelluric measurement points is divided into 5 profile. Based on the result of data processing given range resisitivity value in research area between 4 .m up to 2000 .m. The result of modeling geothermal system in Cangar indicated of caprock (≤21 .m), reservoir (21 .m – 167 .m) and a heat source (≥167 .m). Meanwhile, based on geochemical data, it is found that type of fluid is bicarbonate and the reservoir temperature is approximately ±300°C. Corelations of magnetotelluric method and geochemical data are used to calculate of geothermal potential. Based on the calculation of the geothermal potential of the research area is 4,8 MWe.
