Abstract

Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh fitobiotik herbal dan acidifier asam sebagai feed additive terhadap karakteristik karkas yang meliputi persentase karkas, persentase potongan karkas, persentase disposisi daging dada, dan kadar kolesterol daging itik hibrida. Bahan penelitian menggunakan itik hibrida berumur 180 hari. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen lapangan dengan rancangan acak lengkap, menggunakan 6 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari T0 = Basal Feed tanpa penambahan feed additive, T1 = Basal Feed + Antibiotik 0,5%, T2 = Basal Feed + Campuran Herbal Phytobiotics dan Tamarind Acidifier 0,25%, T3 = Basal Feed + Campuran Herbal Fitobiotik dan Asam Jawa Acidifier 0,5%, T4 = Basal Feed + Campuran Fitobiotik Herbal dan Acidifier Asam Jawa 0,75%, T5 = Basal Feed + Campuran Phytobiotic Herbal dan Acidifier Asam 1%. Variabel yang diamati adalah karkas (%), karkas potong (%), disposisi daging dada (%), dan kadar kolesterol daging itik hibrida (mg/100 g sampel). Data dianalisis dengan analisis ix kovarians (ANCOVA) dari Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap persentase karkas, persentase potongan karkas, dan persentase disposisi daging dada, tetapi berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap kadar kolesterol daging itik hibrida. . Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan fitobiotik herbal dan acidifier asam dalam pakan tidak meningkatkan persentase karkas, persentase potongan karkas, dan persentase disposisi daging itik hibrida, tetapi mampu menurunkan kadar kolesterol daging itik hibrida. Penambahan fitobiotik herbal dan acidifier asam jawa sebesar 0,75% sebagai feed additive memberikan hasil terbaik.

English Abstract

The main objective of the study was to investigate the effect of herbal phytobiotic and tamarind acidifier as feed additive on carcass characteristics including carcass percentage, carcass cut percentage, breast meat disposition percentage, and cholesterol content of hybrid duck meat. The research material used 180 days old hybrid ducks. The method used is a field experiment method with a completely randomized design, using 6 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments consisted of T0 = Basal Feed without the addition of feed additives, T1 = Basal Feed + Antibiotics 0.5%, T2 = Basal Feed + Mixture of Herbal Phytobiotics and Tamarind Acidifier 0.25%, T3 = Basal Feed + Mixture of Herbal Phytobiotics and Tamarind Acidifier 0.5%, T4 = Basal Feed + Mixture of Herbal Phytobiotics and Tamarind Acidifier 0.75%, T5 = Basal Feed + Mixture of Herbal Phytobiotics and Tamarind Acidifier 1%. The variables observed were carcass (%), carcass cut (%), breast meat disposition (%), and cholesterol content of hybrid duck meat (mg/100 g sample). Data were analyzed by analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) from Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and Duncan's Multiple Range Test. The results showed that the treatment had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the carcass percentage, carcass cut percentage, and breast meat disposition percentage, but it had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on the cholesterol content of hybrid duck meat. It can be concluded that the addition of herbal phytobiotic and tamarind acidifier in feed did not increase the carcass percentage, carcass cut percentage, and hybrid duck meat disposition percentage, but was able to reduce the cholesterol content of hybrid duck meat. The addition of herbal phytobiotic and tamarind acidifier of 0.75% as feed additives gave the best results.
