Abstract
Sebuah kota pasti memiliki koridor yang beragam baik dari segi fungsi atau keindahannya. Dari masa penjajahan belanda hingga kini kota selalu berkembang baik yang menyesuaikan kebutuhan masyarakat atau lain sebagainya. Salah satu contoh perkembangan yang ada ialah perkembangan dari segi perubahan guna lahan atau fungsi bangunan dari tahun ke tahun memungkinkan sekali untuk adanya perubahan untuk mengejar kebutuhan idustri. Kota tentu juga menjaga wajahnya agar tetap dihuni oleh masyarakat, oleh karena itu sudah semestinya suatu kota menyuguhkan visual yang berbeda beda dan indah serta sesuai dengan masyarakatnya tentunya. Dalam visual kota itu tersendiri terdapat elemen elemen fisik dan spasial yang berhubungan satu sama lain, hal ini juga seharusnya ada pada koridor suatu jalan. Dan di koridor ini tidak hanya sebuah jalan akan tetapi juga terdapat aktivitas masyarakat yang beragam seperti aktivitas perekonomian, budaya serta aktivitas sosial pastinya. Dalam penelitian ini mencoba menarasikan dan mengkaji suatu kualitas visual koridor dari persepsi masyarakat karena setiap kota pasti ada dasaran desain kotanya baik itu terarsip atau tidak. Untuk menunjang penelitian ini maka menggunakan metode semantic differential yang di populerkan Robert G. Hersberger dan Robert C. Cas. Metode ini menggunakan beberapa variabel yang akan di ukur dengan skala tertentu untuk mengetahui persepsi responden terhadap stimulus atau objek penelitian. Dan penelitian ini akan menghasilkan terkait evaluasi dari kualitasi visual yang ada menurut persepsi masyarakat. Yang tentunya penilaiannya melihat pada variabel variabel yang ada dan berpengaruh pada kualitas visual tersebut.
English Abstract
A city must have corridors that vary in terms of function or beauty. From the Dutch colonial period until now, the city has always developed, either according to the needs of the community or anything else. One example of existing developments is the development in terms of changes in land use or building functions from year to year, allowing for changes to meet industrial needs. The city of course also keeps its face so that it is still inhabited by the community, therefore a city should present a visual that is different and beautiful and in accordance with the people of course. In the visual of the city, there are physical and spatial elements that are related to each other, this should also be in the corridor of a road. And in this corridor there is not only a road but also various community activities such as economic, cultural and social activities. in this study, we try to narrate and examine a visual quality of the corridor from the public's perception because every city must have a city design basis, whether it is archived or not. To support this research, the methode used is the semantic differential method which was popularized by Robert G. Hersberger and Robert C. Cas. This method uses several variables to be measured with a certain scale to determine the respondent's perception of the stimulus or object of research. And this research will result in an evaluation of the existing visual quality according to public perception. Of course, the assessment looks at the variables that exist and affect the visual quality.
