Abstract
Pseudomonas aeruginosa termasuk salah satu bakteri oportunistik patogen yang menyebabkan penyakit infeksi yang ditemukan di rumah sakit baik akut atau kronik yang menjadi permasalahan di dunia dan termasuk salah satu sebab tingginya angka sakit dan angka kematian (Morbidity atau mortality). Untuk mengobati penyakit infeksi diperlukan pemberian antibiotik yang kompatibel dengan mikroba yang menginfeksi tubuh pasien. Dengan meningkatnya tingkat resistensi obat yang tersedia, maka diperlukan adanya alternatif obat yang tersedia terutama dari bahan-bahan alami Salah satu bahan herbal yangxmudah didapat dan memiliki potensixantimikroba adalah daun pegagan (Centella asiatica) karena mengandung bahan aktifxsaponin, flavonoid, dan tanin. Tujuan darixpenelitian adalah untuk mengetahui potensi ekstrak daunxpegagan (Centella asiatica) terhadap Pseudomonas aeruginosa secara in vitro. Metode yang digunakan adalah difusi sumuranxdengan konsentrasi ekstrak daun pegaganxsebesar 12.5%, 25%, 50%, 75%, dan 100% dengan pengulanganxsebanyak empat kali untuk tiap konsentrasi. Hasilxpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa zona inhibisixterbentuk pada semua konsentrasixtersebut. Pada uji statistik menggunakan One Way ANOVA Test hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.000 (p<0.05) maka terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari perubahan konsentrasi ekstrak daun pegagan terhadap diameter zona inhibisi. Uji korelasi Spearman menunjukkan arah korelasi yang berarti bahwa semakin besar konsentrasi yang diberikan, maka semakin besar zona inhibisi yang terbentuk. Dapatxdisimpulkan bahwa ekstrak daun pegaganxmemiliki efekxantimikroba terhadap Pseudomonas aeruginosa secara in vitro.
English Abstract
Pseudomonas aeruginosa includes one of the opportunistic pathogenic bacteria that causes infectious diseases found in either acute or chronic hospitals that are a problem in the world and include one of the high reasons for illness and mortality (morbidity or mortality). To treat infectious diseases is necessary administering antibiotics that are compatible with microbes that infect the patient's body. With increasing levels of drug resistance available, there is a need for alternative medications available mainly from natural ingredients one of the herbal ingredients thatxis easily obtained and has the potential ofxantimicrobial is a leaf Centella asiatica (centella asiatica) because it contains the active ingredientxsaponin, flavonoids, and tannins. The purpose ofxResearch is to find out the potential ofxLeaf Extract (Centella Asiatica) of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in vitro. The methods used are the diffusexleaf with the concentration of the Centella asiaticaxextract of 12.5%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% with anxrepetition of four times for each concentration. The results ofxresearch showed that an inhibitory zone ofxwas formed at all concentrations of. In the statistical test using One Way ANOVA test the results obtained shows the significance value of 0.000 (P < 0.05) Then there is a significant influence of the concentration changes of Centella asiatica extract to the diameter of the inhibition zone. The correlation test Spearman shows a correlation direction which means that the greater the concentration is given, the greater the inhibitory zone formed. Canxbe concluded that the extract of the leaf Centella asiaticaxhas antimicrobial effect on Pseudomonas aeruginosa in vitro.
