Abstract

Kota Malang dikenal sebagai kota pendidikan dengan potensi kota pendidikan ini didukung oleh banyaknya institusi pendidikan yang ada di Kota Malang. Menurut data dari kementrian pendidikan, Kota Malang pada tahun 2021 memiliki 492 sekolah yang tersebar di Kota Malang. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pelajar, pemerintah kota malang menyediakan bus sekolah untuk memudahkan pelajar mencapai sekolah. Pengadaan bus sekolah pertama kali dilakukan oleh pemerintah kota malang pada tahun 2015 yang memiliki 4 armada, hingga saat ini bus sekolah Kota Malang memiliki 15 armada dengan melayani 13 rute yang tersebar di Kota Malang. Terdapat berbagai masalah pada bus sekolah, seperti rute yang terlalu lama dan adanya sekolah yang belum dapat dilayani oleh bus sekolah. Dengan adanya berbagai masalah tersebut tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui demand bus sekolah kota malang dan supply bus sekolah berupa jumlah rute yang dilalui, dengan pertimbangan tersebut dapat menentukan alternatif rute bus sekolah untuk melayanai sekolah agar bus sekolah dapat beroperasi secara optimal. Metode analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Transport demand level, analisis supply dan penentuan rute menggunakan GIS. Dari hasil perhitungan demand dan supply rute didapatkan zona yang diprioritaskan, yakni zona 9 dan zona 3 yang memiliki tingkat demand paling tinggi dan supply rute yang melewati pada zona tersebut sedikit, sehingga terdapat penambahan 2 alternatif rute bus sekolah pada zona 9 dan zona 3. Pada penambahan alternatif rute tersebut didapati bahwa adanya peningkatan sekolah yang dapat dilayani oleh bus sekolah dari 72% menjadi 81%.

English Abstract

Malang is known as an education city whose potentials are supported by the many educational institutions existing in that city. According to data from the Ministry of Education, by 2021 there are 492 schools spread across Malang. To meet the transportation needs for students, the government of Malang provides school buses to make it easier for students to reach schools. The procurement of school buses was first carried out by the government in 2015, obtaining 4 fleets. Currently, there are 15 fleets serving 13 routes spread across Malang. There are various problems with this transportation, such as routes taken that are too far and some schools not reached by the available fleets. Based on this background, this research sought to determine the demand for school buses in Malang and the supply of school buses in the form of the number of routes traversed. It is expected that alternative school bus routes to serve schools can be determined to ensure them operating optimally. The analytical methods used in this research consisted of Transport Demand Level, Supply Analysis, and Route Determination using GIS. The research results regarding the demand and the supply routes revealed that the prioritized zones were zone 9 and zone 3 which had the highest level of demand but few supply routes by school buses. Therefore, there were 2 additional alternative school bus routes in zone 9 and zone 3. As a result, it was found that there was an increase of routes served by school buses supply from 72%
