Abstract

PT. Pupuk Kalimantan Timur merupakan anak perusahaan dari Pupuk Indonesia yang memproduksi pupuk, urea, dan amoniak. Permasalahan yang dialami perusahaan dalam persediaan yaitu keterlambatan dan kelebihan bahan chemical. Penyebab dari permasalahan yaitu sistem safety stock dan reorder point yang dijalankan perusahaan belum optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode continuous review system (s,S) karena pola data persediaan bersifat probabilistik dan penentuan safety stock dan reorder point mempertimbangkan kebutuhan rata-rata selama lead time dan standar deviasi untuk meminimalisir terjadinya kelebihan. Penelitian ini melakukan perbandingan kinerja persediaan dengan menggunakan 4 indikator yaitu, total biaya persediaan, inventory turnover, inventory days of supply, dan fill rate. Penentuan bobot indikator menggunakan metode AHP dengan hasil tertinggi yaitu indikator total biaya persediaan sehingga metode rekomendasi dipilih berdasarkan total biaya terendah. Metode rekomendasi untuk bahan chemical HCl, H2SO4, Anti Scale Low, dan Anti Scale High adalah metode continuous review system (s,S). Sedangkan bahan chemical NaOH adalah metode existing.

English Abstract

PT. Pupuk Kalimantan Timur is a subsidiary of Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company (PIHC) which born to fulfill the increasing demand for fertilizer in line with high development of agriculture in Indonesia. Production process of company using main and some supporting materials. One of the support materials that used is chemicals. This research was conducted on fast moving chemical materials. Based on company data indicates a delay in arrival and inventory control system not going well which makes chemicals in inventory became too much. The objective of this research was to find the value of safety stock, reorder point, maximum stock, and total inventory cost so that can give recommendation for company to had an optimal inventory performance. This research uses continuous review system (s,S) method and analytical hierarchy process (AHP). CRS (s,S) used to find the value of reorder point (s) and maximum inventory (S) that used by company as point for ordering and point for maximum inventory. Based on value of reorder point (s) and maximum inventory (S) after that calculate total inventory cost that gets from holding cost, ordering cost, and shortage cost. And then calculate the value of inventory turnover, inventory days of supply, and fill rate. Indicators that already calculated then used analytical hierarchy process for scoring the weight of the importance using software Expert Choice. Indicator with the highest score will be used for reference in making comparison between existing method and CRS (s,S) method. The results of calculation using CRS (s,S) noted that chemicals HCl 30%, H2SO4 98%, Anti Scale Low, and Anti Scale High had the value of total inventory cost lower than the existing method, value of inventory turnover higher than the existing method, value of inventory days of supply lower than the existing method, and the value of fill rate was equal to the existing method. While for Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH 40%) had the value of total inventory cost higher than the existing method, value of inventory turnover lower than the existing method, and value of inventory days of supply higher than the existing method. The results of scoring the weight of inventory performance indicators was total inventory cost had score 0,434, inventory turnover had score 0,251, inventory days of supply had score 0,208, and fill rate had score 0,107. So the indicator that used as a reference in making comparison was the total cost of inventory. Recommendation method for chemicals Hydrochloric Acid 30%, Sulfuric Acid 98%, Polyphosponate Anti Scale Low Temperatur, and Scale Prevention Compound: H-Temp was continuous review system (s,S) and for Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH 40%) was existing method.
