Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi di ibu kota jakarta memberikan dampak pada budaya Indonesia salah satunya rumah tradisional. Rumah dengan gaya modern dan minimalis merupakan kriteria rumah masa kini. Salah satu Rumah Tradisional Betawi yaitu Rumah Kebaya. Rumah Tradisional telah mengalami tahap trial and error untuk menghadapi kondisi lingkungan yang berubah – ubah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui elemen yang menyebabkan lingkungan termal terasa nyaman sehingga dapat menerapkannya pada bangunan saat ini. Lingkungan Termal Alami memiliki beberapa aspek, tiga diantaranya yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu kelembapan udara, suhu udara, dan aliran udara. Terdapat beberapa strategi lingkungan termal alami yaitu peneduhan alami, pendinginan alami, pengawalembapan alami, serta penyejukan alami. Kriteria kenyamanan lingkungan termal yang digunakan terdiri dari orientasi bangunan, beranda, tata vegetasi, selubung bangunan, dan bukaan atau ventilasi. Terdapat beberapa jenis Rumah Tradisional Betawi yang memiliki perbedaan dari segi atap seperti rumah joglo, rumah gudang, rumah kebaya atau bapang, dan rumah panggung. Adapun beberapa elemen bangunan seperti pondasi, jendela dan pintu, dinding, pelangkah dan sunduk, kolom dan balok, lantai, dan atap. Rumah Tradisional Betawi memiliki ciri khas teras di depan rumah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan analisis data secara deskriptif, evaluatif, dan komparatif yang dimulai dengan teori selanjutnya menentukan objek penelitian, melakukan observasi pada objek penelitian untuk mendapatkan data yang kemudian data tersebut diolah dan dianalisis hingga mencapai kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu elemen pembentuk lingkungan termal alami pada model rumah kebaya terdiri dari Orientasi Bangunan, Tata Letak Vegetasi, Beranda atau Teras. Adapun dampak dari selubung bangunan yaitu terjadinya kondisi thermal time lag dimana suatu material memerlukan waktu untuk menyerap panas dari luar agar dapat dilepaskan dalam ruangan. Hal tersebut berdasarkan dari data observasi lapangan yang dianalisis serta dikomparasi antar ruang dan antar bangunan. Hasil dari data observasi memenuhi standar rata – rata suhu berdasarkan SNI, Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan, serta Suhu Netral. Sedangkan dari data observasi hanya memenuhi standar rata – rata kelembapan menrut penelitian Tirtha paul yang dijelaskan pada buku Frick, H. et al.(2008)

English Abstract

Technologinal developments in the capital Jakarta have an impact on the culture of Indonesia, one of which is traditional houses. The house with modern and minimalist style home is the criteria today. One of the Betawi Traditional Houses is the Kebaya House. Traditional houses has undergone a phase of trial and error to deal with changing environmental conditions. This study aims to determine the éléments that causes the thermal environment feels comfortable so that they can apply them to the current building. Natural Thermal Environment has several aspects, three of which were used in this study is the humidity, air temperature, and air flow. There are several natural thermal environmental strategy is a natural shading, natural cooling, natural humidification, and natural cooling. The thermal environment comfort criteria used consist of building orientation, veranda, vegetation layout, material building, and ventilation. There are several types of Betawi Traditional House which has notable differences in terms of roofing like Joglo, Gudang House, Kebaya or Bapang House, and Panggung House. As for some building elements such as foundations, windows and doors, walls, pelangkah and sunduk, columns and beams, floors, and roofs. Betawi Traditional House has a characteristic tarrace in front of the house This study uses qualitative and quantitative methods with descriptive, evaluative, and comparative data analysis which begins with theory and then determines the object of research, makes observations on the object of research the obtain data, then the data is processed and analyzed to reach conclusions. The results of the research are the elements of forming the natural thermal environment in the Kebaya House Model consisting of Building Orientation, Vegetation Layout, Veranda or Terrace. The impact of material building is the occurrence of thermal time lag conditions where a material takes time to absorb heat from outside so that it can be released inside. This is based on field observation data which is analyzed and compared between spaces and between buildings. The resutls of the observation reach the standard average temperature based on SNI, Regulation of the Minister of Health, and Neutral Temperature. Meanwhile, the observation data only reach the average humidity standar according to Tirtha Paul’s research described in Frick’s book.
