PERANCANGAN PERBAIKAN TANAH PADA PEMBANGUNAN MARKAS PASMAR-1 MENGGUNAKAN METODE SOIL PRELOADING KOMBINASI PREFABRICATED VERTICAL DRAIN

Pramadana, Farhan (2021) PERANCANGAN PERBAIKAN TANAH PADA PEMBANGUNAN MARKAS PASMAR-1 MENGGUNAKAN METODE SOIL PRELOADING KOMBINASI PREFABRICATED VERTICAL DRAIN. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

Farhan Pramadana, Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Brawijaya University, April 2021, Improvement of Soft Soil by Combination Between Preloading and PVD Methods on Development of PASMAR-1 Building, Supervisor: Yulvi Zaika and Arief Rachmansyah Based on soil investigation in the Project of Development of Pasmar-1 building, it was found that the type of soft soil refers to SNI 8460:2017 concerning Geotechnical Planning in Chapter 6.2, soil conditions are included in one of the criteria for soil improvement. Where the soil has the potential to experience a total settlement that cannot be tolerated and soil settlement has the potential to experience a very large difference in settlement between the structure standing on the deep foundation and the surrounding soil. Efforts to reduce soil settlement by making soil improvement efforts aimed at accelerating the consolidation that occurs in soft soil and increasing the carrying capacity of the soil. To solve the problem, it is planned to improve the subgrade in the Project of Development of Pasmar-1 building using the Soil Preloading method with a combination of Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD). This study was assisted by a finite element software program in carrying out soil improvement planning in the analysis of settlement and slope stability of the preloading embankment. The results of soil improvement planning in the Project of Development of Pasmar-1 building using the Soil Preloading method with a combination of Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD) which are staked with a depth of 14 meters, the total settlement is 0.7453m. Consolidation time to reach 90% consolidation degree for a triangle pattern with a distance of 1 meter takes 985 days. In the analysis of the stability of the embankment slope before calculating the change in the bearing capacity of the soil, the safety factor was found to be 0.8 and after calculating the change in the bearing capacity of the soil, the safety factor was found to be 2.7. By calculating the change in soil bearing capacity, the Soil Preloading embankment has met the safety factor requirements. Keywords: Soil Preloading, Prefabricated Vertical Drain, consolidation, slope stability, safety factor.
