Abstract
Proses produksi didalam perusahaan tidak dapat dipisahkan dari aktivitas manual handling yaitu aktivitas menggunakan tenaga manusia. Aktivitas manual handling yang dilakukan memiliki risiko musculoskeletal disorders bagi pekerja. Berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan dan penyebaran kuesioner NBM ditemukan skor yang paling tinggi pada workstation packaging botol 1500ml yaitu 55. Metode MAC Tool yang digunakan untuk menilai faktor risiko aktivitas lifting dan carrying kardus botol 1500ml.Perhitungan RWL dan LI digunakan menghitung beban yang direkomendasikan dalam melakukan aktivitas berserta klasifikasi tingkat risiko pekerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan skor aktivitas lifting yaitu 15 dan skor carrying yaitu 13.Perhitungan RWL asal/origin didapatkan nilai 3,509kg dan RWL tujuan/destination nilai 3,279kg. Perhitungan LI didapatkan skor LI origin 5,557 dan LI destination 5,946. Hasil keseluruhan menunjukkan terdapat permasalahan pada aktivitas manual handling pekerja. Usulan perbaikan yang direkomendasi adalah redesign workstation packaging botol 1500ml, perbaikan metode kerja, penggunaan shoulder back support dan membuat SOP lifting dan carrying botol 1500ml.
English Abstract
PT. Tirtamas Lestari Banyuwangi is a company that produced bottle drinking water with several types of size 220ml, 600ml, 1500ml and gallon. In this research, the problems is how workers doing manual handling for 1500ml bottle packaging. 1500ml bottle packaging workers must lift and carry as much as 60 boxes for each pallet. From the results of the NBM questionnaire distributed to all workers of each workstation, workstation packaging 1500ml bottles workers have the highest score is 55. Based on result of the questionnaire, workers have a lot of pain that located on the back, waist, left dan right thighs. High conveyor and wrong workers position when doing manual handling activities are the cause of workers experiencing complaints of musculoskeletal disorder risk (MSDs). The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the total risk score of packaging bottle 1500ml workers, the amount of load recommended in the process of moving boxes to pallet and provide recommendations for improvement to reduce the risk of MSDs. The first step in this research is to analyze 1500ml bottle packaging workers using manual handling assessment chart (MAC) tool method.. MAC tool method is used to identify risk factors in manual handling activities, namely lifting, carrying, and team handling operations. After the assessment of MAC tool, recommended weight limit (RWL) is used to calculate the recommended load for workers in doing manual handling activities. After obtained the RWL value, calculate the lifting index (LI) value used to indicate the level of risk classification of workers in performing activities. The results of the research obtained scores from the MAC tool packaging bottle 1500ml workers lifting activity is 15 and carrying activity is 13 so that it belong to the category of need for improvement in the near future. From the calculation of RWL obtained RWL origin value of 3,509 kg and RWL destination value of 3,279 kg. The result of the calculation LI origin is 5,557 and the LI destination value is 5,946. LI calculation result obtained li value > 3 which means there are problems in lifting and carrying activities so that there is a need for checks and repairs. Improvement recommendations given in this research are redesign workstation packaging bottle 1500ml in the form of a decrease in height conveyor, addition of gravity roll conveyor and curved section roll conveyor, changes in the design of workers' footing. In addition, improvements to the working methods on pallet stacks and pallet positions make it easier for workers to perform activities. The use of shoulder back support and the manufacture of SOP lifting and carrying activities AMDK bottle 1500ml. There are a decrease in MAC tool score after improvement recommendation that the lifting activity score is 6 and carrying activity is 5. LI value also decreased to LI origin 2,293 and LI destination 2,449. The improvement recommendations are expected to reduce the risk of MSDs injury and increase the knowledge of 1500ml bottle packaging workers in doing manual handling activities.
