Abstract

Salah satu logam yang sangat berbahaya bagi lingkungan dan kesehatan adalah timbal (Pb). Limbah industri yang mengandung logam berat timbal yaitu baterai, bahan bakar, kabel, cat, keramik, serta bahan kimia yang mengandung pewarna. Banyak metode yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi logam timbal (Pb) salah satunya adsorpsi menggunakan karbon aktif dari limbah agroindustri. Kajian literatur review ini akan mengevaluasi efektivitas karbon aktif yang dihasilkan dari berbagai macam limbah agroindustri mulai dari proses pembuatan karbon aktif hingga penggunaannya untuk adsorpsi logam timbal. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Reviews (SLR), yakni sebuah sintesis dari studi literatur yang bersifat sitematik, jelas, menyeluruh, dengan mengidentifikasi, menganalisis, mengevaluasi melalui pengumpulan data-data yang sudah ada dengan metode pencarian yang eksplisit dan melibatkan proses telaah kritis dalam pemilihan studi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan efektivitas karbon aktif dari limbah agroindustri untuk adsorpsi logam timbal (telaah studi literatur), maka diperoleh kesimpulan terdapat 22 literatur yang membahas tentang karbon aktif dari limbah agroindustri untuk adsorpsi logam timbal yang terdiri dari 16 jurnal berbahasa indonesia dan 6 jurnal berbahasa Inggris. Karbon aktif dapat dibuat dari limbah agroindustri yaitu, ampas tebu, biji asam Jawa, cangkang kelapa sawit, cangkang buah karet, cangkang hazelnut, cangkang telur, cangkang walnut Cina, kulit biji lotus, kulit manggis, kulit pisang, kulit singkong, tempurung kelapa dan tongkol jagung. Pengaplikasian terbanyak yaitu menggunakan limbah tempurung kelapa. Tempurung kelapa juga memiliki presentase adsorpsi tertinggi jika dilihat dari nilai persentasenya yaitu 100%.

English Abstract

One of the metals that is very dangerous for the environment and health is lead (Pb). Industrial wastes containing lead heavy metal are batteries, fuel, cables, paints, ceramics, and chemicals containing dyes. Many methods have been used to overcome lead (Pb), one of which is adsorption using activated carbon from agro-industrial waste. This literature review will evaluate the effectiveness of activated carbon produced from various kinds of agro-industrial waste, from the process of making activated carbon to its use for lead adsorption. This research is a research using the Systematic Literature Reviews (SLR) method, which is a synthesis of a systematic, clear, comprehensive literature study, by identifying, analyzing, evaluating through the collection of existing data with an explicit search method and involving a review process. critical in study selection. Based on the results of research and discussion of the effectiveness of activated carbon from agro-industrial waste for lead metal adsorption (literature study), it was concluded that there were 22 literatures discussing activated carbon from agro-industrial waste for lead metal adsorption consisting of 16 Indonesian-language journals and 6 Indonesian-language journals. English. Activated carbon can be made from agro-industrial waste, namely, bagasse, tamarind seeds, palm oil shells, rubber fruit shells, hazelnut shells, egg shells, Chinese walnut shells, lotus seed shells, mangosteen peel, banana peels, cassava peels, coconut shells and corncob. The most application is using coconut shell waste. Coconut shell also has the highest adsorption percentage when viewed from the percentage value, which is 100%.
