Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui akar masalah dari kecurangan akademik yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa pada saat mengikuti ujian kompetensi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode wawancara yang dilakukan kepada mahasiswa akuntansi yang pernah melakukan kecurangan akademik saaat ujian kompetensi. Metode Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Root Cause Analysis "5 Why Analysis" dengan cara bertanya dengan kata tanya “mengapa” hingga mendapatkan akar dari sebuah permasalahan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan akar permasalahan yang berbeda. Akar dari permasalahan kecurangan akademik antara lain ingin segera lulus ujian kompetensi agar dapat segera sidang, terpengaruh teman yang sudah lebih dulu mengikuti ujian dan kebanyakan berbuat curang, serta materi ujian terlalu banyak dan tidak ada kisi-kisi yang jelas.
English Abstract
The Objective of this study is to know the root cause of academic fraud done by student while performing exam. This study is using qualitative approach and using interview method to collect data from student who had been cheating on competence exam. The Method of analysis in this study is using Root Cause Analysis “Five Whys Analysis” with ask repeatedly until the root of cause has been discovered from the problem. The result of the study shows that all the students have different root cause. Root cause of the academic fraud on competence exam such as, want to graduate as soon as possible, affected of friends who already have the exam first and also did fraud, and the other student says exam topics is overload, also there are no exam content outline.
