Abstract

Pencemaran lingkungan selalu menimbulkan berbagai masalah di masyarakat. Pencemaran pada perairan sebagai dampak dari adanya kegiatan industrialisasi serta domestik sehingga sungai–sungai yang berada disekitar wilayah tersebut akan menjadi tercemar. RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung tepatnya berada di Jalan dr. Wahidin Sudiro Husodo, Desa Kedungwaru, Kecamatan Kedungwaru, Kabupaten Tulungagung. RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung akan dilakukan pengembangan agar semakin menunjang sarana prasarana yang ada. Masalah lingkungan yang dapat ditimbulkan oleh pengembangan rumah sakit adalah limbah cair yang di buang ke badan air dan dikhawatirkan dapat mempengaruhi daya tampung beban pencemaran serta status mutu badan air Sungai Ngrowo yang berada di wilayah RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Neraca Massa, serta untuk menentukan status mutu air Sungai Ngrowo menggunakan metode Indeks Pencemaran dengan parameter yang di analisis yaitu Suhu, pH, TSS, DO, BOD, COD, Nitrat, Fosfat, Amonia dan Total Coliform kemudian hasil pengujian parameter tersebut dibandingkan dengan baku mutu air kelas II berdasarkan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 82 Tahun 2001, selanjutnya dilakukan perhitungan beban cemar maksimum untuk mengetahui daya tampung beban pencemaran Sungai Ngrowo. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di Sungai Ngrowo secara grab sample atau sampel sesaat dengan tiga kali pengulangan di masing – masing titik. Titik T1 yaitu merupakanviii titik sebelum outlet, T2 merupakan titik outlet dan T3 merupakan titik setelah outlet. Hasil perhitungan daya tampung beban pencemaran titik T1, T2, T3 dan T3* untuk parameter suhu, TSS, pH, DO, nitrat, fosfat, ammonia dan total coliform tidak melampaui batas kemampuan Sungai Ngrowo untuk menerima beban pencemaran dan sesuai dengan baku mutu air kelas II, sedangkan parameter BOD dan COD sudah melampaui kemampuan daya tampung beban pencemaran Sungai Ngrowo. Status mutu air berdasarkan perhitungan Indeks Pencemaran menunjukkan status mutu air pada titik T1, T2 dan T3 dalam kondisi tercemar ringan.

English Abstract

Environmental pollution always leads to various problems in the community. Water pollution is the result of industrialization and domestic activities, so the rivers around the area will be polluted. Public Regional Hospital (RSUD) of dr. Iskak Tulungagung is precisely located at dr. Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Street, Kedungwaru Village, Kedungwaru District, Tulungagung Regency. RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung will be developed in order to further support the existing infrastructure. The environmental problems which can be caused by the hospital development are liquid waste disposed to the water body and feared to be able to affect the pollution load capacity and the quality status of the Ngrowo River water body located in the RSUD of dr. Iskak Tulungagung area. The method used in this research was Mass Balance method. To determine the water quality status of Ngrowo River, the method used was Pollution Index in which the analyzed parameters were Temperature, pH, TSS, DO, BOD, COD, Nitrate, Phosphate, Ammonia and Total Coliform and then the results of the parameter testing were compared with the water quality standard class II based on the Government Regulation Number 82 of 2001, then the maximum pollutant load was calculated to determine the pollution load capacity of Ngrowo River. The sampling was carried out in Ngrowo River by using grab sample with three repetitions at each point. T1 point was the point before the outlet, T2 was the outlet point and T3 was the point after the outlet. The results of the calculation of the pollutionx load capacity of points T1, T2, T3 and T3* for the temperature, TSS, pH, DO, nitrate, phosphate, ammonia and total coliform parameters did not exceed the limits of Ngrowo River to receive the pollution loads and in accordance with the water quality standard class II, while the BOD and COD parameters had exceeded the pollution load capacity of Ngrowo River. The water quality status based on the calculation of the Pollution Index showed the water quality status at points T1, T2 and T3 in the mild polluted condition.
