Abstract

Usaha peternakan sapi perah di Indonesia mengalami perkembangan dari tahun ke tahun karena peningkatan jumlah permintaan susu dan masyarakat semakin sadar terhadap gizi seimbang protein hewani. Peningkatan populasi ternak sapi tentunya menimbulkan permasalahan lingkungan jika tidak diatasi dengan baik. Permasalahan tersebut antara lain pencemaran akibat limbah cair sapi perah. Setiap hari, satu ekor sapi perah dapat menghasilkan limbah ternak feses sebanyak 30- 40 kg dan urin 20-25 kg. Limbah cair peternakan sapi yang dibuang ke lingkungan tanpa diolah terlebih dahulu dapat mengkontaminasi udara, tanah dan air. Salah satu cara untuk mengurangi pencemaran tersebut adalah melalui pemanfaatan limbah cair peternakan sapi menjadi pupuk organik cair pada tanaman padi. Dosis yang diberikan pada tanaman padi yaitu 12 l/m², 20 l/m² dan 28 l/m² sedangkan tinggi genangan yang digunakan yaitu 2,5 cm, 5 cm dan 7,5 cm. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah metode eksperimen dan rancangan percobaan yang digunakan yaitu rancangan acak kelompok faktorial dimana masing-masing perlakuan dilakukan pengulangan sebanyak 3 kali. Pemberian limbah cair peternakan sapi dan tinggi genangan air berpengaruh terhadap jumlah daun dan produksi tanaman padi namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan dan kadar air gabah

English Abstract

Dairy farming business in Indonesia have developed from year to year because of increasing the amount of milk demand and the community is increasingly aware of problem balanced nutrition. Increasing of dairy farm raise environment problem if it is not overcoming well. The problem is the pollution as impact of waste of liquid cow manure. One of dairy cattle can produce 30- 40 kg waste of dairy cattle and 20-25 kg urine every day. The waste of liquid cow manure which has been thrown away to environment without being processed could contaminate air, soil and water. One of the way to reduce liquid cow manure pollution is through utilization of liquid cow manure into liquid organic fertilizer to rice plants. The doses that have been given to the rice plants are 12 l/m2, 20 l/m2 and 28 l/m2 and high inundation are 2,5 cm ; 5 cm and 7,5 cm. The method that has been used is randomized block design factorial with 3 repetition. The result show that liquid cow manure affacted the number of leaves and rice plants production but not affecting on growth, tillering and grain moisture content. Dose waste 28 l/m2 with a high inundation of 5 cm showed the growth of rice plants the most good.
