Abstract

PT XYZ merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang memproduksi komponen pintu seperti top rail, middle rail, bottom rail, mullion, stile, panel dan glassbar. Komponen tersebut disesuaikan dengan berbagai model pintu yang dibuat berdasarkan permintaan dari pembeli (make to order). Salah satu mesin yang digunakan dalam membuat model pintu kayu adalah mesin powermat. Mesin powermat berfungsi untuk melakukan penyerutan kayu dalam membuat profil pintu. Dalam satu hari produksi, mesin powermat dapat melakukan lebih dari 25 kali pergantian perlatan mesin atau changeover. Permasalahan yang terjadi yaitu tingginya downtime mesin sehingga tingkat efektifitas mesin powermat menjadi rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengukur tingkat efektifitas mesin dan menentukan alternatif strategi perbaikan pada mesin powermat di PT XYZ. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) dan Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Metode TPM digunakan untuk mengukur nilai efektifitas mesin powermat dengan perhitungan Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) dan six big losses pada mesin powermat. Metode AHP digunakan untuk menentukan tingkat prioritas perbandingan berpasangan antar faktor, subfaktor dan alternatif strategi perbaikan guna meningkatkan efektifitas mesin powermat dengan meminimalkan kerugian setup & adjustment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai OEE mesin powermat sebesar 51%. Kerugian yang terjadi yaitu setup & adjustment 36,10%, reduce speed 33,59%, idling & minor stoppage 26,08%, breakdown 3,67%, dan defect 0,57%. Faktor yang menjadi prioritas utama yaitu method (0,377), man (0,214), environment (0,164), machine (0,130), material (0,115). Prioritas alternatif strategi peningkatan efektifitas mesin powermat denganviii meminimalkan kerugian setup & adjustment di PT XYZ terdiri atas optimalisasi cara kerja setup mesin (0,408), perbaikan perencanaan produksi (0,345) dan peningkatan pengawasan & pengecekan setup mesin (0,246)

English Abstract

PT XYZ is one of the companies that produce door components such as top rail, middle rail, bottom rail, mullion, stile, panel, and glass bar. The component is adapted to various models of doors that are made based on requests from buyers (make to order). One of the machines used in modeling wooden doors is a powermat machine. The powermat machine functions to shrink wood in making door profiles. In one production day, the powermat machine can do more than 25 times the change of engine equipment or changeover. The problem that occurs is the high engine downtime so that the powermat machine's effectiveness is low. The purpose of this study is to measure the effectiveness of the engine and determine an alternative improvement strategy on the powermat machine at PT XYZ. The method used in this study is Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). TPM method is used to measure the value of the powermat machine effectiveness with the calculation of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and six big losses on powermat machines. AHP method is used to determine the priority level of pairwise comparisons between factors, subfactors and alternative improvement strategies to improve the effectiveness of powermat machines by minimizing setup & adjustment losses. The results showed a powermat OEE value of 51%. The disadvantage is setup & adjustment 36.10%, reduce speed 33.59%, idling & minor stoppage 26.08%, breakdown 3.67%, and defect 0.57%. The main priority factors are method (0.377), man (0.214), environment (0.164), machine (0.130), material (0.115). Alternative priority strategies for increasing the effectiveness of powermat machines by minimizing setup & adjustment losses atx PT XYZ consist of optimizing how the machine setup works (0.408), improving production planning (0.345) and improving monitoring & checking of machine setups (0.246)
