Abstract

Perencanaan pulang pasien asma merupakan serangkaian kegiatan yang dilakukan untuk mempersiapkankan pasien dari perawatan di rumah sakit menuju perawatan di rumah atau komunitas dengan melibatkan pasien dan keluarga menjadi bagian penting dalam tim perawatan. Salah satu cara untuk mencapai hasil yang optimal adalah dengan edukasi tentang penyakit dan managemen kesehatan. Media edukasi yang tepat sangat dibutuhkan untuk keberhasilan pendidikan kesehatan di IGD karena situasinya tidak dapat diprediksi yang salah satunya akan berdampak pada kepuasan pasien terhadap proses perencanaan pulang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengekplorasi kepuasan pasien asma terhadap perencanaan pulang dengan melibatkan kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol. Penelitian quasi-eksperimental post test design dilaksanakan di IGD RSUD Kota Malang. Sample ditentukan dengan quota sampling, kemudian dibagi dalam kelompok video (n=14) dan leaflet (n=12). Variabel yang diukur adalah kepuasan pasien asma terhadap perencanaan pulang menggunakan care transition measure 24 jam setelah pasien pulang. Rerata kepuasan secara umum kelompok video adalah 70,21 sedangkan kelompok leaflet 57,42 dengan perbedaan rerata sebesar 12,79 (p = 0,00). Rerata kepuasan dalam keterlibatan pasien dan keluarga 14,29 dan 11,50 (p = 0,02), pemenuhan pemahaman tentang penyakit dan managemen asma 38,07 dan 31,00 (p = 0,00), pemenuhan informasi kontrol 4,21 dan 3,75 (p = 0,143), pemahaman tentang pengobatan dan efek samping obat 13,64 dan 11,74 (p = 0,00). Kesimpulan penelitian terdapat perbedaan signifikan kepuasan terhadap perencanaan pulang antara pasien asma yang diedukasi menggunakan media video dengan yang menggunakan leaflet. Saran bagi petugas kesehatan adalah mengoptimalkan penggunaan video dalam edukasi asma dan dilakukan penelitian pengaruh edukasi terhadap kekambuhan asma.

English Abstract

Asthma patient discharge planning is a series of activities carried out to prepare patients from hospital treatment to care at home or community by involving patients and families as important part of the care team. One way to achieve optimal results is by education about diseases and health management. Appropriate educational media is needed for the success of health education in the emergency room because the situation is unpredictable, one of which will have an impact on patient satisfaction with the discharge planning process. The purpose of this study was to explore asthma patient satisfaction with discharge planning by involving treatment and control groups. The quasi-experimental research post test design was conducted at the emergency department of Malang City Hospital. Samples were determined by quota sampling, then divided into video groups (n = 14) and leaflets (n = 12). The variable measured was asthma patient satisfaction with discharge planning using the care transition measurement 24 hours after the patient left. The average satisfaction of the video group was 70.21 while the leaflet group was 57.42 with a mean difference of 12.79 (p = 0.00). Average satisfaction in patient and family involvement 14.29 and 11.50 (p = 0.02), fulfillment of understanding about illness and asthma management 38.07 and 31.00 (p = 0.00), fulfillment of control information 4.21 and 3.75 (p = 0.143), understanding of medication and drug side effects 13.64 and 11.74 (p = 0.00). The conclusion of the study there is a significant difference in satisfaction with discharge planning between asthma patients who were educated using video media and those using leaflets. Suggestions for health workers are to optimize the use of video in asthma education and research the effect of education on asthma recurrence.
