Abstract
Ketepatan pendokumentasian Early Warning System (EWS) oleh perawat terhadap outcome pasien harus dilakukan dengan tepat. Namun pada kenyataannya masih banyak perawat yang kurang tepat dalam pendokumentasian Early Warning System (EWS). Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi ketepatan pendokumentasian Early Warning System (EWS) terhadap outcome pasien yaitu kepedulian dan pengetahuan perawat. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan ketepatan pendokumentasian early warning system (EWS) oleh perawat terhadap outcome pasien. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif korelasi dengan kohort retrospektif. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah incidental Sampling dari 57 rekam medis perawat. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah lembar demografi pasien, lembar dokumentasi EWS dan berita acara code blue. Uji statistik Rank Spearman menghasilkan ada hubungan antara ketepatan pendokumentasian EWS dengan outcome pasien (p = 0,024; r = 0,858) dengan arah semakin tinggi ketepatan pendokumentasian EWS maka semakin tinggi pula outcome pasien. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan antara ketepatan pendokumentasian EWS dengan outcome pasien. Disarankan bahwa ketepatan pendokumentasian EWS sangatlah penting terhadap outcome pasien. Perlu adanya pelatihan secara menyeluruh sehingga dapat menigkatkan outcome pasien. Sehingga dengan adanya pelatihan dan supervisi dapat meningkatkan ketepatan pendokumentasian EWS yang bisa menyebabkan peningkatan untuk outcome pasien.
English Abstract
The accuracy of the documentation Early Warning System (EWS) by nurses on patient outcomes must be done appropriately. But in reality there are still many nurses who are not quite right in documenting of the Early Warning System (EWS). Many factors affect the accuracy of the documentation Early Warning System (EWS) toward outcome patients who care and knowledge of nurses. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the accuracy of the documentation Early Warning System (EWS) by nurses on patient outcomes. The design of this study uses descriptive correlations with a retrospective cohort. The sample used in this study was Incedental Sampling from 57 nurses' medical records. The instruments of this study were the patient demographic sheet, the EWS documentation sheet and the code blue minutes. The Spearman Rank statistical test results there is a correlation between the accuracy of the documentation EWS with patient outcome (p = 0.024; r = 0.858) with the direction of the higher accuracy of EWS, the higher the patient safety. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between the accuracy of the documentation EWS with patient outcomes. It is recommended that documentation of EWS is very important for patient outcomes. Thorough training is needed so that it can improve patient safety. So that the training and supervision can improve the accuracy of the documentation of EWS which can lead to improvements in patient outcomes.
