Andhika, Aris Karma (2020) Evaluasi Sifat Antimikroba Tepung Daun Mint (Mentha Piperitha) Dan Aplikasinya Sebagai Feed Additive Dalam Pakan Terhadap Karakteristik Usus Halus Dan Penampilan Produksi Ayam Pedaging. Magister thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
Masing-masing perlakuan sebanyak 8 ekor ayam. Perlakuan P0 pakan basal, perlakuan P+ pakan basal + 0,01% antibiotik Zinc Bacitrasin P1 pakan basal+0,5% tepung daun mint P2 pakan basal+1% tepung daun mint P3 pakan basal+ 1,5% tepung daun mint.
English Abstract
Research on the use of mint leaf flour (Menthe Piperita) evaluated on antimicrobial properties as feed additives in feed aimed to determine the effect on intestinal characteristics and the performance broiler production. The material used in this study was DOC 200 Lohman strains. Broiler are kept research cages for 35 days. The research method used was a laboratory experiment method and a research cage using a completely randomized design (CRD) with treatments of 5 replications. Each treatment was 8 chickens. Treatment of Po basal feed, P+ basal feed +0.01% antibiotic zinc bacitracin, P1 basal feed +0.5 % leaf flour, P1 basal feed +0.5 % leaf flour, P2 basal feed +1 % leaf flour dan P3 basal feed +1.5 % leaf flour. The observed variable was phase I to test the inhibition of lactic acid bacteria, Salmonella sp., Escherichia coli and active compounds flavonioids, phenols and antioxidants. phase II appearance of feed consumtion production, FCR, IOFC, and body weight gain. The characteristics of small intestine see the number of villi, villi height, villi Crypt depth, villi Apical width, Basal width and surface area of villi, Total palte counts lactic acid bacteria, Salmonella sp., Escherichia coli. The results of the first phase of the treatment ot the use of mint leaf extract have a very significant (P<0,01) effect on the inhibition of total plate count lactic acid bacteria, Salmonella sp., Escherichia coli. Phase II research whit on significant effect (P>0,05) on the appearance of production but very significant effect (P<0,05) on the number of villi. Optimization use of mint leaf extract In vitro has a very significant effect on inhibiting Salmonella sp. and Escherichia coli and the In vivo test using mint leaf flour level up to 1,5% can increase the apical villi and the number villi of broiler.
