Abstract

Keberadaan logam berat Cr pada limbah cair batik yang dibuang langsung ke badan sungai dapat menimbulkan masalah yang serius. Krom dalam tubuh biasanya berada dalam keadaan sebagai ion Cr3+. Krom dapat menyebabkan penyakit seperti kerusakan hati (liver), kanker paru-paru, dan ginjal. Jika logam krom terjadi kontak dengan kulit manusia, dapat mengakibatkan iritasi dan jika logam krom tersebut tertelan dapat mengakibatkan sakit perut dan muntah. Pada pengolahan air limbah dengan menggunakan teknologi fitoremediasi, tanaman atau tumbuhan memiliki peranan penting dalam mendukung proses pengolahan, baik itu tanaman yang hidup di tanah ataupun tanaman yang hidup di air. Namun tanaman yang sering digunakan dalam pengolahan air limbah adalah tanaman yang hidup di air karena proses yang dilakukan lebih efisien dan tanaman yang dapat bertahan dalam mengolah air limbah adalah tanaman air. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas massa tanaman bambu air (Equisetum hyemale) terhadap mengurangi kadar Cr pada limbah cair batik. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret hingga April 2018 di Laboratorium Remediasi Fakultas Teknologi Pertanian, Universitas Brawijaya, Malang. Rancangan Percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan. Perlakuan yang digunakan Tanpa Tanaman (M0), Massa Tanaman 300 g (M300), dan Massaix Tanaman 450 g (M450). Penelitian dilakukan selama 12 hari dengan pengamatan setiap hari diukur pH, suhu media tanam dan suhu lingkungan. Pengambilan sampel limbah cair dilakuan pada awal sampel dan hari ke-12, sedangkan sampel tanaman pada hari ke-12. Pengujian sampel limbah cair meliputi kadar logam Cr dan COD, sampel tanaman diuji kadar logam Cr dan berat basah dan berat kering. Suhu lingkungan dan media tanaman memiliki rata-rata sebesar 29oC dan 27oC. pH akhir limbah cair batik untuk perlakuan M0 sebesar 7,8 M300 sebesar 8,3 dan M450 sebesar 8,6. Penurunan COD terbesar pada perlakuan M450 sebSesar 26%, sedangkan M300 dan M0 sebesar 21% dan 15% dibandingkan dengan air limbah PreTreatment. .Efisiensi penurunan Cr terbesar pada perlakuan M450 sebesar 76%, sedangkan M300 dan M0 sebesar 58% dan 23% dibandingkan terhadap air limbah Pre-Treatment.

English Abstract

The heavy metals Cr on waste liquid batik disposed directly to the river could cause serious trouble. Chrome within the body usually are in good as ion Cr3+. Chrome can cause diseases like liver damage (liver), lungs cancer, and kidney. If metal chrome happened contact with human skin, can cause irritation and if the metal chrome ingested can cause abdominal pain and vomiting. On wastewater treatment by means of technology phytoremediation, plants or herbs having an important role in supporting processing, whether it is a plant that lives on the ground or plant living in water. But they really often used in wastewater treatment is a plant living in water because the done more efficient and plant to stand in treating waste water is a plant water. This study aims to to know the effectiveness of a mass of bamboo plants water (Equisetum hyemale) to reduce the level of Cr on waste liquid batik .The research was done in march to April 2018 in the Laboratory Remediation the Faculty of Agricultural Technology , Brawijaya University , Malang . Is a wonder of design experiments used random complete (RAL) with 3 treatment. Which is used without treatment plant (M0), a massxi plant 300 g (M300) , and a mass plant 450 g (M450) .The research was done for 12 days with the observation every day measured pH , media temperature cropping and the environmental temperature. The sample collection liquid waste extensive work was selected and 12th at the beginning of the day, while the ones on the day 12th sample testing liquid waste covering metal Cr and COD levels, plant sample tested levels of metal Cr and a heavy wetness and heavy dry. The environmental temperature and the media plant having average of 27oC and 29oC. pH batik such as the end of the liquid waste treatment M0 as much as 7.8, M300 and M450 as much as 8.6 and 8.3. The biggest COD reduction efficiency in the M450 treatment is 26%, while M0 and M300 as much as 21% and 15% compared to waste water Pre-Treatment.
