Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan profil vegetasi riparian, kualitas habitat riparian, struktur komunitas makroinvertebrata bentos dan kualitas air di Air Terjun Parang Tejo dan salurannya serta dampak aktivitas manusia di sekitar Air Terjun terhadap perubahan kualitas air berdasarkan indeks biotik makroinvertebrata bentos sebagai bioindikator. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di tiga stasiun dengan tiga kali pengulangan. Profil vegetasi riparian ditentukan melalui analisis vegetasi perdu/pohon dan herba. Kualitas habitat riparian ditentukan dengan menghitung indeks QBR. Makroinvertebrata bentos diambil dengan menggunakan jaring Surber dan hand net hingga ditemukan ±100 individu. Kualitas fisika-kimia air yang diukur meliputi suhu, pH, turbiditas, DO, BOD dan debit air. Penentuan struktur komunitas vegetasi riparian dan makroinvertebrata bentos dilakukan dengan perhitungan kekayaan taksa, kelimpahan total, INP, Id, E dan H’. Penentuan kualitas air berdasarkan indikator makroinvertebrata bentos menggunakan Family Biotic Index (FBI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi penurunan kualitas habitat riparian, vegetasi riparian, struktur makroinvertebrata bentos dan penurunan kualitas air dari hulu ke hilir yang disebabkan kegiatan pertanian dan pemukiman. Kualitas habitat riparian berdasarkan QBR, stasiun satu tergolong kualitas baik sedangkan stasiun dua dan tiga tergolong kualitas buruk yang didukung dengan kekayaan taksa, kelimpahan total, nilai H’ dan keseragaman vegetasi riparian herba, perdu/pohon semakin ke hilir semakin rendah. Struktur komunitas makroinvertebrata bentos memiliki keseragaman rendah, dominansi tinggi, H’ menurun dan FBI meningkat dari hulu ke hilir serta ditemukan taksa Chironomus sp. dan Lumbriculus sp. pada stasiun tiga. English Abstract

The aims of this research were to determine the profile of riparian vegetation, riparian habitat quality, benthic macroinvertebrate community structure, and water quality in Parang Tejo Waterfall and its channel Dau District, Malang Regency, and the effect of human activity in the surrounding on water quality based on biotic index of benthic macroinvertebrates as bioindicators . Sampling was carried out at three stations with repetitions three times. The profile of riparian vegetation is determined through analysis of shrub / tree and herbaceous vegetation. The quality of riparian habitat is determined by calculating the QBR index. Benthic macroinvertebrates were taken using Surber nets and hand nets to find ± 100 people. The physics chemical measured incluted temperature, pH, turbidity, DO, BOD and water discharge. Determination of community structures of riparian vegetation and benthic macroinvertebrates was carried out by calculating total abundance, taxa richness, INP, Id, E and H'. Determination of water quality based on benthic macroinvertebrate indicators using Family Biotic Index (FBI). The results showed a decline in the riparian habitat quality, riparian vegetation, benthic macroinvertebrate structures and decrease in water quality from upstream to downstream caused by agricultural and residential activities. The riparian habitat quality based on QBR, station one is classified as good quality, while stations two and three are classified as poor quality, supported by taxa richness, total abundance, H’ value and evenness of riparian vegetation of herbs, shrubs / trees, downstream. Benthic macroinvertebrate community structures have low evenness, high dominance, decreasing H 'and increases FBI from upstream to downstream and found Chironomus sp. and Lumbriculus sp. taxa at station three. Water quality based on physics chemical meets quality standards
