Mangatur, Joseph Kevin (2019) Persepsi Wisatawan terhadap Vegetasi Penting dan Artropoda Pengunjungnya di TPA Wisata Edukasi Talangagung- Kepanjen, Malang. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

Besides being able to attract the presence of arthropods, one of the capabilities of plants is to neutralize odors in the air. This study aims to analyze the vegetation and visitor arthropods and public perceptions of dominant plants in the Talangagung Education Tourism Landfill. This research was conducted in June 2019 until August 2019 at the Talangagung Education Tourism Landfill and data analysis was carried out at the Animal Diversity Laboratory, Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Brawijaya University. Vegetation analysis was performed using the sample plot method. Arthropod observations were carried out using the Visual Encounter method on the specified plants. Data on community perception was taken by interviewing 30 respondents. Vegetation analysis results show that location 2 has the highest diversity index compared to other locations, and the INP value of each type of vegetation is spread evenly compared to other locations. Observation of arthropods shows that small black Formicidae, Musca domestica, large black Formicidae, and white Lepidoptera are the most dominant arthropods in each location. Tourists who are respondents do not know the usefulness of Codiaeum variegatum which is the dominant plant in the WET landfill, besides that the respondents also do not know the role of arthropods found in the landfill area.
