Abstract

Zinc Phosphate Cement merupakan salah satu bahan di bidang kedokteran gigi yang digunakan sebagai semen luting. Bahan ini memliki kelemahan yaitu tingkat keasamannya yang tinggi pada awal penggunaannya sehingga dapat berpotensi mengiritasi pulpa. Salah satu usaha yang dapat dilakukan untuk mempercepat peningkatan pH zinc phosphate cement adalah dengan merubah partikel zinc phosphate cement dari skala mikro menjadi skala nano. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan nilai keasaman antara zinc phospate cement nano dengan zinc phosphate cement kovensional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental posttest only control design untuk melihat perbedaan nilai keasaman zinc phosphate cement. Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 6, 3 sampel zinc phosphate cement konvensional dan 3 sampel zinc phosphate cement nano. Tiap sampel diukur berdasarkan 8 interval waktu yaitu, 2,5,10,15,20,30,60,1440 menit setelah pengadukan. Sehingga terdiri dari 16 kelompok. Nilai keasaman diukur menggunakan pH meter. Hasil uji statistika menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna antara nilai keasaman zinc phosphate cement konvensional dan zinc phosphate cement nano (One Way ANOVA, p=0,000). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah nilai keasaman antara zinc phosphate cement konvensional lebih tinggi dibandingkan zinc phosphate cement nano.

English Abstract

Zinc Phosphate Cement is one of the ingredients in the field of dentistry that is used as a luting cement. This material discount disadvantage that high acidity levels in the beginning of its use so that it can potentially irritate the pulp. One attempt to do to accelerate the increase in the pH of zinc phosphate cement is by changing the particles of zinc phosphate cement into nanoscale micro scale. The purpose of this study to determine the difference in value between the zinc phosphate cement acidity nano with a conventional zinc phosphate cement. This research is an experimental research the posttest only control design to see the difference in the value of the acidity of the zinc phosphate cement. The sample was 6, 3 samples of conventional zinc phosphate cement and 3 samples of nano zinc phosphate cement. Each sample is measured based on 8 intervals ie, 2,5,10,15,20,30,60,1440 minutes after stirring. Thus consists of 16 groups. Value acidity was measured using a pH meter. The test results showed statistically significant difference between the value of the acidity of the zinc phosphate cement and zinc phosphate cement conventional nano (p = 0.000). The conclusion of this study is a value between zinc phosphate cement acidity higher than that of conventional zinc phosphate cement nano.
