Abstract
Profesi dokter gigi memiliki risiko untuk mengalami Musculoskeletal Disorders oleh karena bekerja ditempat yang tidak leluasa dan mengharuskan mereka dalam posisi yang tidak berubah keadaannya. Pada umumnya dokter gigi kurang sadar akan pentingnya sistem ergonomi dengan posisi yang baik saat merawat pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan tingkat pengetahuan dan penerapan ergonomi pada dokter gigi saat perawatan scaling di klinik wilayah Kota Malang. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 37 dokter yang praktik di klinik wilayah kota Malang. Penelitian menggunakan uji korelasi spearman. Hasil penelitian didapatkan tingkat pengetahuan dokter gigi tentang ergonomi sebagian besar 20 orang (54.1%) adalah sedang. Sedangkan penerapan postur tubuh dokter gigi yang benar dengan jumlah 22 orang (59,5%). Kesimpulan: terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan dokter gigi tentang ergonomi dengan penerapan saat melakukan perawatan scaling di klinik wilayah kota Malang.
English Abstract
Dentists are having risk of MSD, that might be happen because of the position. They have to work in a certain position and static. In general, dentists are less aware of the importance of an ergonomic system in a good position when caring for patients. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge and application of ergonomics to dentists during scaling treatments at clinics in the city of Malang. The research was observational analytic with cross sectional approach. Determination of samples is done by purposive sampling technique. The number of samples was 37 dentist who practic at the clinic in Malang. The research using the spearman correlation test. The results showed that the level of dental knowledge about ergonomics, most of the 20 people (54.1%) were moderate. While the application of dentist posture is correct with the number of 22 people (59.5%). The conclusion is that there is a relationship between dentist knowledge about ergonomics and application when doing scaling treatments at clinics in the city of Malang.
