Abstract
Berkembangnya suatu entitas berjalan seiringan dengan perkembangan data dan kebutuhan entitas tersebut atas sistem informasi yang mumpuni. Sehubungan dengan hal ini, teknologi informasi yang terintegrasi menjadi sarana yang tepat bagi sistem informasi yang semakin kompleks. Salah satu pengelolaan sistem informasi yang umum digunakan adalah relational database. UMKM Keripik Tempe X merupakan salah satu UMKM yang masih mengoperasikan bisnisnya secara manual. Hal ini tentu menimbulkan beberapa masalah. Oleh karena itu, UMKM Keripik Tempe X membutuhkan rancangan sistem informasi yang tepat untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut. Melalui penelitian ini, penulis bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi dan kemampuan, kelebihan dan kekurangan yang ada pada sistem informasi berjalan, serta memberikan rekomendasi atas analisis-analisis tersebut, kemudian memberi rancangan sistem informasi yang tepat berupa rancangan Entity Relational Diagram dan Data Flow Diagram. Penelitian ini berjenis penelitian deskriptif yang menekankan pada penjelasan mengenai kelebihan, kekurangan, solusi serta rancangan sistem informasi yang tepat dengan ruang lingkup siklus pendapatan UMKM Keripik Tempe X dengan metode penelitian System Development Life Cycle.
English Abstract
The aim of this research is to analyze the condition, capabilities, strengths, and weakness that exist in a current information system, and to provide recommendations from the analyses as well as an appropriate information system design in the form of an Entity Relational Diagram and a Data Flow Diagram. This research is of the descriptive research type, and the emphasizes the explanation of the strengths, weakness, solution, and design of an information system that is appropriate to the revenue cycle of Tempeh Cracker SME X as the scope of the research, using the System Development Life Cycle Method. The data of the research were collected by interviewing, documenting, and observing the management of Tempeh Cracker SME X. The results of the research indicated that Tempeh Cracker SME X has several weakness and strengths in the income cycle of its accounting information system. Therefor, based on the weakness and strengths of Tempeh Cracker SME X, a design was created for its information system in the form of an Entity Relational Diagram and a Data Flow Diagram.
