Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas Quality of Service (QoS) pada jaringan berbasis Mikrotik untuk layanan aplikasi live streaming dengan variasi jarak dan jumlah user. Jenis Mikrotik yang digunakan adalah 3 buah Mikrotik tipe rb951ui-2hnd dan 1 buah Mikrotik tipe rb941ui-2hnd (hAP-Lite). Keempat Mikrotik tersebut akan di-setting menjadi sebuah jaringan bridge, dengan satu Mikrotik rb951-ui2hnd sebagai router master dan masing-masing dua buah Mikrotik rb-951ui-2hnd dan rb941ui-2hnd (hAP-Lite) sebagai router slave. Aplikasi live streaming yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah VLC media player. Berdasarkan rekomendasi standar ITU-T G.1010 dan G.114[4], kinerja layanan live streaming pada jaringan ini telah memenuhi standar. Dari hasil penelitian, menunjukkan bahwa pada jumlah user 1, memiliki packet loss, delay dan throughput sebesar 15%, 13,75 ms dan 85,6 KBps. Sedangkan pada jumlah user 2, memiliki packet loss, delay dan throughput sebesar 16,92%, 14 ms dan 87,4 KBps. Dan pada jumlah user 3, memiliki packet loss, delay dan throughput sebesar 15%, 15 ms dan 87 KBps. Untuk nilai delay dan packet loss, resolusi 480 memiliki nilai yang paling rendah.

English Abstract

This study discusses Quality of Service (QoS) on Mikrotik network for live streaming application services with a variations in distance and number of user. Kind of Mikrotik which used in this journal is three Mikrotik rb951ui-2hnd and one Mikrotik rb941ui-2hnd (hAP-Lite). These four Mikrotik will set to be a bridge network with one Mikrotik rb951ui- 2hnd as a router master and the other two Mikrotik rb951ui-2hnd and one Mikrotik rb941ui- 2hnd (hAP-Lite) as router slave. The live streaming application used in this study is VLC media player. Background traffic is a UDP package based on transmission patterns, namely burst and periodic, burst and random, continuous and constant and continuous and random. Based on the ITU-T standard recommendations G.1010 and G.114, the performance of live streaming services on this network has met the standards. From the results of the study, it shows that if the amount of is user one has packet loss, delay and throughput of 15%, 13,75 ms and 85,6 KBps. While if the amount user two, it has packet loss, delay and throughput of 16,92%, 14 ms and 87,4 KBps. And for the user three, it has packet loss, delay and throughput of 15%, 15 ms and 87 KBps. For the value of delay and packet loss, the 480 resolution method has the lowest value.
