Abstract
Salah satu bentuk koleksi dari perpustakaan perguruan tinggi adalah gray literature atau hasil karya ilmiah yang dihasilkan oleh sebuah institusi. Seiring berjalannya waktu, semakin bertambah pula mahasiswa yang menyelesaikan masa studinya. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan evaluasi terhadap karya sivitas akademik untuk melihat arah perkembangan penelitian suatu perguruan tinggi. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan perpustakaan perguruan tinggi untuk mengevaluasi karya tulis sivitas akademiknya adalah dengan menggunakan analisis bibliometrik. Bibliometrik adalah penggunaan metode matematika dan statistika dalam untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis publikasi dan penggunaan sebuah dokumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisa bagaimana karakteristik literatur yang disitir, tingkat keusangan literatur dan peta ilmu pengetahuan pada tesis mahasiswa Program Magister Ilmu Administrasi Publik FIA UB lulusan tahun 2014-2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui teknik bibliometrika evaluatif yaitu analisis sitiran. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh tesis mahasiswa program magister Ilmu Administrasi Publik lulusan tahun 2014 sampai 2018 yang berjumlah 300 judul tesis. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik literatur yang disitir pada tesis mahasiswa program MIAP FIA UB lulusan tahun 2014-2018 terdiri dari 10,4% buku administrasi publik, 55,3% buku non administrasi publik, 12,6% artikel jurnal, 3,4% artikel ilmiah, 3,2% tugas akhir, 0,5% prosiding, 0,2% laporan penelitian, 2,4% sumber internet dan 12% jenis literatur sumber lainnya. Usia keusangan literatur yang digunakan adalah 12 tahun. Subjek penelitian pada tesis-tesis ini dapat dikelompokkan menjadi tujuh, yaitu: Strategic Planning, Public Administration, Regional Planning, Tourism, Civil Service, Planning, dan Policy Science.
English Abstract
One form of collection from an academic library is gray literature or scientific work produced by an institution. Over time, more and more students are also completing their studies. Therefore it is necessary to evaluate the work of the academic community to see the direction of the development of a tertiary research. One of the ways that a academic library can do to evaluate its scientific work produced by academic community is to use bibliometric analysis. Bibliometric is the use of mathematical and statistical methods in studying and analyzing the publication and use of a document.This study aims to determine and analyze how the characteristics of the cited literature, the level of obsolescence of literature and maps of science in the thesis of the 2014-2018 FIA UB Public Administration Master's Program students. This research uses descriptive research with a quantitative approach through evaluative bibliometrics techniques, namely citation analysis. The sample of this research is all of the theses of the Master of Public Administration students graduating from 2014 to 2018, totaling 300 theses The results of this study indicate that the Characteristics of the literature cited in the thesis of MIAP FIA UB program graduates in 2014-2018 consisted of 10.4% of public administration books, 55.3% of non-public administration books, 12.6% of journal articles, 3, 4% scientific articles, 3.2% final project, 0.5% proceedings, 0.2% research reports, 2.4% internet sources and 12% other sources. The age of obsolescence of the literature used is 12 years. Research subjects in these theses can be grouped into seven namely: Strategic Planning, Public Administration, Regional Planning, Tourism, Civil Service, Planning, and Policy Science.
