Faktor – Faktor Yang Memengaruhi Minat Penggunaan Financial Technology Peer To Peer Lending

Yuniarti, Veronica (2019) Faktor – Faktor Yang Memengaruhi Minat Penggunaan Financial Technology Peer To Peer Lending. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of trust, ease of use, perceived usefulness, quality of service, compatibility, relative advantage, and perceived risk on the interest in using peer-to-peer lending financial technology. This research is based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Innovation Diffusion Theory (IDT) approaches. The utilized data collection techniques were surveys through a questionnaire and interviews. The respondent of this study are 142 users of peer-to-peer lending financial technology services in Indonesia. The utilized data analysis method was SEM-Partial Least Squares analysis aided by the SmartPLS software. The results of this study indicated that ease of use, quality of service, and compatibility had a positive effect on the interest in the use of peer-to-peer lending financial technology. Meanwhile, trust, perceived usefulness, relative advantage, and perceived risk did not affect the interest in the use of peer-to-peer lending financial technology. This is because of widespread illegal peer-to-peer lending in Indonesia, which causes people to doubt and be concerned about product security risks, such as fraud or misuse of personal data, in perusing online loan services. People have also admitted that there are several peer-to-peer lending services that have committed actions that are not in line with online lending procedures, which makes them still consider face-to-face services, such as through banks, to be superior and effective for making loans, even through online lending services are considered easy to use. This is because increasingly easier peer-to-peer lending financial technology services for making online loans leads to a loss of control of finances, and thus the usefulness and benefits of these services have not been fully felt by the people.
