Abstract
Fungsi rekreasi di perpustakaan umumnya berjalan dengan adanya berbagai bahan dan tempat penyaluran hobi baca yang sifatnya memberikan hiburan kepada para pengunjung perpustakaan. Padahal fungsi rekreasi itu dapat dikembangan lebih luas lagi. Perpustakaan ibaratnya destinasi wisata, keduaduanya dapat memberikan fungsi rekreasi kepada para pengunjungnya. Pengunjung perpustakaan di samping dapat mencari dan menemukan informasi yang diinginkannya, dapat pula menikmati rekreasi di perpustakaan. Pengunjung yang berkunjung ke perpustakaan dapat memperoleh hasil serupa dengan pengunjung yang melakukan kunjungan wisata. Mereka sama-sama melakukan rekreasi untuk mendapatkan hiburan, kesegaran jasmani atau rohani, dan kenangan. Ketiga aspek itu dapat menjadi dasar pendekatan bagi pengembangan fungsi rekreasi di perpustakaan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukka bahwa Dinas Perpustakaan Umum dan Arsip Daerah Kota Malang mempunyai potensi sebagai destinasi wisata edukasi. Sejak tahun 2011 dengan dibukanya layanan ruang anak diharapkan mampu melayani pemustaka yang khususnya bagi PAUD-TK-SD-SMP. Pelayanan pada ruang anak yang berpotensi sebagai wisata edukasi dapat dilihat dari kegiatan yang telah diberikan yaitu kegiatan mendongeng, menonton film edukasi, orientasi perpustakaan, bernyanyi bersama, permainan yang sifatnya edukatif. Dinas Perpustakaan Umum dan Arsip Daerah Kota Malang berpotensi sebagai destinasi wisata edukasi dipengaruhi dengan adanya faktor pendukung yaitu jumlah sumber daya manusia yang memadai dan bisa menjalankan sesuai tugas masing-masing, ketersediaan fasilitas yang mendukung kegiatan wisata edukasi, sedangkan faktor penghambat adalah berlum adanya penetapan bersama untuk lebih dikembangkannya lagi wisata edukasi tersebut.
English Abstract
The function of recreation in libraries generally runs with the existence of various materials and distribution sites for reading hobbies that are of a nature that provide entertainment to the visitors of the library. Even though the recreation function can be developed more widely. The library is like a tourist destination, both of which can provide recreational functions to visitors. In addition to being able to search and find information, library visitors can also enjoy recreation in the library. Visitors who visit the library can get similar results with visitors who make tourist visits. They both do recreation to get entertainment, physical or spiritual freshness, and memories. These three aspects can be the basis of an approach for the development of recreational functions in the library. The results of this study indicate that the Department of Public Library and Archives of Malang City has the potential as an educational tourist destination. Since 2011, with the opening of children's space, it is hoped that it will be able to serve users, especially for PAUD-TK-SD-SMP. Services in children's spaces that have the potential to be educational tourism can be seen from the program activities that have been given, namely storytelling activities, watching educational films, library orientation, singing together, educational games. Department of Public Library and Archives of Malang City has the potential as an educational tourist destination influenced by the existence of supporting factors, namely the number of adequate human resources and can carry out according to their respective duties, the availability of facilities that support educational tourism activities, while the inhibiting factor is the existence of joint stipulations to further develop the education tourism.
