Abstract

Kota Malang sebagai salah satu destinasi wisata di Jawa Timur yang tidak pernah sepi dari kunjungan wisatwan mancanegara. Meningkatanyajumlahkunjunganwisatawanmancanegaramembuktikanbahwakota Malang memilikiberbagaidayatarikwisata yang dapat menarikminatkunjunganwisatawan. Adanya kenaikan yang signifikan dalam kunjungan wisatwan mancanegara di Kota Malang tersebut, menjadikan landasan utama penelitian ini dalam mengetahui motivasi apa yang mendasari para wisatawan mancanegara dalam berkunjung ke Kota Malang. sehingga peneliti ini mengangkat judul “Analisis Motivasi Wisatawan Mancanegara Dalam Berkunjung Ke Kota Malang”.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif pendekatan kualitatif. dengan dua rumusan masalah, yaitu(1)Apamotivasiwisatawanmancanegaraberkunjungke Kota Malang ? (2)Bagaimanaketersediaankomponenpariwisatadalammenunjangkeputusanberkunjungwisatawanmancanegarake Kota Malang? Sumber data diperolehdari informan, observasi, dokumen dan juga dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan empat tahap yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) motivasiwisatawanmancangera yang berkunjungke Kota Malangada 4 (empat) hal, yaitu1 Physical motivation, 2 Culture Motivation,3 Social Motivationdan 4 Fantasy Motivation. (2) ketersediaan komponenpariwisata dalam aspek aksesbilitas, atraksi dan amenitas sudah baik, akantetapi kondisi ancillary service khususnya ketersedian Tourism Information Center (TIC) perlu diadakanperbaikan. Berdasarkan uraian, peneliti memberi rekomendasi yaitu kepada pihakDinasKebudayaandanPariwisata Kota Malang bekerjasamadenganPengelolaAtraksi yang ada di kota Malang, sepertimengadakanpelatihanbahasa di kampungtematik/ kampung budayadanmemberipelatihanuntukmembuat handcraft keseniantradisional agar lebihmenariklagibagiwisatawanmancanegarasertamengangkatkebudayaan Kota Malang lebihsering agar dapatdikenallebihluaslagi. Merevitalisasibangunan-bangunanbersejarah yang ada di Kota Malang mengingatsejarah yang ada di Kota Malang menjadidayatariktersendiribagiwisatawanmancanegara.Pemerintah Kota Malang perlumelakukankoordinasidanbersinergidengan stake holder pariwisata yang ada di Kota Malang sepertiparapelakuusahaPariwisata, PHRI, HPI sertadinasperhubungandan stake holder terkaitlainnya yang ada di Kota Malang, agar dapatmelakukanpengembanganPariwisatakota Malang yang lebihbaiklagisertadapatmenarikminatberkunjungwisatawan mancanegara.

English Abstract

Malang City as one of the tourist destinations in East Java that has never been quiet from foreign tourists visiting. Reviewing the number of tourist arrivals proves that Malang has a choice of tourist attractions that can attract tourists. The existence of a significant increase in foreign tourist visits in the city of Malang, making the main foundation of this research in understanding the motivations that underlie the foreign tourists on their way to Malang City. Thus, this researcher raised the title "Analysis of Foreign Tourists Motivation in Visiting Malang City". This study uses descriptive methods using qualitative approach. With two formulation of the problem, namely (1) What drives foreign tourists to visit Malang City? (2) How do tourist cities support foreign tourist visits to Malang City? Data sources were obtained from informants, observations, documents and also documentation. Data analysis uses four steps, namely collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and gathering conclusions.The results of the study showed that (1) the motivation of tourists visiting Malang City have 4 (four) things, namely 1 Physical Motivation, 2 Cultural Motivation, 3 Social Motivation and 4 Fantasy Motivation. (2) related to accessibility components, competition and amenities are good, but special support services for the availability of the Tourism Information Center (TIC) need to be improved. Based on the description, the researcher gave a recommendation that is to Culture and Tourism Office of Malang City to collaborate with the Attraction Manager in Malang, such as holding language training in thematic villages in Malang City and giving training to make traditional art handcraft more interesting for foreign tourists and raise the culture of Malang City more often so that it can be known more widely. Revitalizing historical buildings in Malang City considering the history in Malang City is a main attraction for foreign tourists. The Malang City Government needs to coordinate and synergize with tourism stakeholders in Malang City such as Tourism, PHRI, HPI and transportation agencies and other relevant stakeholders in Malang, in order to develop Malang City Tourism better and can attract interest in visiting foreign tourists.
