Maulana, Nirwan (2019) Efek Preventif Infeksi Alami Protozoa Dengan Pemberian Ekstrak Daun Sambiloto Terhadap Aktivitas Enzim Gamma Glutamyl Transferase (Ggt) Hepar Dan Gambaran Vili Duodenum Kambing Peranakan Etawa. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
Protozoa is one of the cause of parasitic disease. Protozoa that were occasionally found at the digestive tract are Eimeria sp. This study was set to find the effects of green chiretta (Andrographis paniculata nees) leaves extract on Gamma Glutamyl Transferase (GGT) and duodenum villi illustration on a 4 months old etawa cross breed goats with the average weights of 15kg. This study used four groups of goats, control group and treatment group which were given 50 mg/kg BW, 75 mg/kg BW and 100 mg/kg BW PO green chiretta leaves extract for 27 days. Analysis of the GGT level used a quantitative study with One Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) then preceded Tukey test with α=0.05%. Duodenum villi then were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that green chiretta leaves extract with 100mg/kg BW dosage significantly (p>0.01) can lowered GGT level as much as 62,88% if compared to the positive group. The duodenum villi undergoes a recovery on the dosage of 100mg/kg BW which were observed from the duodenum villi images. The conclusion of this study are, therapeutic effects of green chiretta leaves extract can lower the GGT level and repair the duodenum villi on etawa crossbreed goats that were infected with protozoa.
