Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penyemprotan ekstrak kelor, air kelapa dan kombinasi keduanya terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman tomat (Lycopersicon esculentum). Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dua faktor yaitu ekstrak daun kelor dan air kelapa dengan ulangan sebanyak 4 kali. Ekstrak daun kelor dan air kelapa masing-masing mempunyai konsentrasi 2%, 4% dan 6%. Bibit disemaikan dalam polybag ukuran polybag berukuran 9 cm x 7 cm x 6 cm. Bibit dipindah ke polybag ketika memiliki dua daun sejati. Variabel terikat yang diamati yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, berat basah, dan berat kering, waktu pembungaan pertama, waktu panen buah, jumlah bunga, presentase buah tomat matang, ukuran buah dan berat buah. Data yang diperoleh diuji homogenitas dan normalitas sebarannya. Jika sebaran data homogen dan normal maka dianalis menggunakan ANOVA Two-Way dengan selang kepercayaan 95% dan uji lajut yaitu uji Tukey (α=0,05). Jika sebaran data tidak normal dan homogen maka dilakukan uji Brown-Forsythe dan uji lanjut Games-howell. Analisis data digunakan software SPSS versi 21 dan Microsoft Excel 2013. Kombinasi ekstrak daun kelor dan air kelapa menghasilkan pengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, berat basah, berat kering, waktu pembungaan pertama, waktu buah panen, jumlah bunga, jumlah buah merah, diameter buah merah, tinggi buah merah, dan berat buah merah. Semua ekstrak kelor (2%, 4%, 6%), serta kombinasi dengan air kelapa (2% ekstrak kelor, air kelapa 6%) mampu menambah berat tomat dibandingkan kontrol. English Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of spraying Moringa extract, coconut water and a combination of both on the growth and development of tomato plants (Lycopersicon esculentum). The design of research was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) of two factors. The factors were Moringa leaf extract and coconut water. Each unit experiment has 4 times replications. Moringa leaf extract and coconut water each have a concentration of 0%, 2%, 4% and 6%. The seeds were pre-planted in small polybag which has size polybags is 9 cm x 7 cm x 6 cm. After seedling have two true leaves, they were transferred to big polybag (25 x 25 x 25 cm). As the dependent variables included plant height, leaf number, leaf area, wet weight, and dry weight, first flowering time, fruit harvesting time, number of flowers, number of ripe tomatoes, fruit size and fruit weight. The obtained data were tested for homogeneity and normality of distribution. If the distribution of data was homogeneous and normal, the data analyzed using ANOVA Two-Way with a confidence interval of 95% and followed by Tukey test (α = 0.05). However, if the distribution was not both normal and homogeneous, the data were analyzed using Brown-Forsythe test and followed by the Games-howell test are carried out. Data analysis used software SPSS version 21 and Microsoft Excel 2013. The result showed that the combination of Moringa leaf extract and coconut water resulted in a significant effect on plant height, leaf number, leaf area, wet weight, dry weight, first flowering time, fruit harvesting time, number of flowers, number of red fruits, fruit diameter, fruit height and fruit weight. All Moringa extracts (2%, 4%, 6%), and combinations with coconut water (2% Moringa extract, 6% coconut water) can increase tomato weight compared to control. The effect of the combination of Moringa and coconut water extracts on others dependent variable were discussed in the manuscript.
