Abstract
Berdirinya Kota Batu menjadi kota wisata memberikan dampak pada pesatnya pertumbuhan ekonomi dan jumlah wisatawan ke Kota Batu. Mendukung hal tersebut banyak bermunculan tempat-tempat wisata di Kota Batu, akan tetapi eksistensi Alun-alun tidak padam dan tidak surut pengunjung. Melihat kondisi tersebut dirasa perlu adanya sebuah penelitian mengenai kenyamanan spasial untuk melihat tingkat kenyamanan spasial Alun-alun Kota Batu sebagai ruang terbuka dan daya tarik wisata. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode gabungan (mixed-method) dimana responden merupakan anak-anak hingga dewasa. Metode kuantitatif digunakan untuk menentukan persepsi responden terhadap kenyamanan spasial Alun-alun. Metode kualitatif digunakan untuk mengevaluasi kondisi Alun-alun melalui perbandingan kondisi eksisting dengan literatur maupun standar. Berdasarkan hasil analisis ditemukan faktor yang paling mempengaruhi kenyamanan spasial Alun-alun adalah fasilitas pendukung yang mana mencakup fasilitas yang terdapat didalam Alun-alun. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini didapatkan delapan faktor baru yang berpengaruh terhadap kenyamanan spasial Alun-alun Kota Batu. Dan dapat disimpukan bahwa Alun-alun Kota Batu dinyatakan nyaman dalam sudut pandang ruang terbuka dan daya tarik wisata.
English Abstract
The establishment of Batu City as a tourist city has had an impact on the rapid economic growth and number of tourists visiting Batu City. Because of this rapid growth may tourist attractions have sprung up in Batu City, in fact the existence of Alun-alun is not distinguished as visitors are not receding. Seeing these conditions it is necessary to have a study of spatial comfort to see the comfort level of Alunalun as an open space and a tourist attraction in the same time. The method used in this study is a combined methods (mixed-method) where the respondents are ranged from children until adults. Quantitative methods are used to determine respondents’ perception of Alun-alun’s spatial comfort. And the qualitative method is used to evaluate the existing conditions of Alun-alun through literature and standards. Based on the analysis it is found that the factor that most influence the spatial comfort of Alun-alun is supporting facilities which means facilities that are contained in the Alun-alun. This study shows that there were eight new factors that affect spatial comfort of Alun-alun. And it could be concluded that Alun-alun of Batu city is stated to be comfortable in the perspective of open space and tourist attractions
