Abstract
Menurut WHO Indonesi diprediksikan mengalami kenaikan jumlah pasien Diabetes Mellitus dari 8,4 juta pada tahun 2000 menjadi sekitar 21,3 juta pada tahun 2030. Kesalahan penggunaan terapi insulin cukup sering ditemukan dan menjadi masalah klinis yang penting. Ketepatan penggunaan injeksi insulin dapat dipengaruhi oleh pengetahuan konsumen, sikap, dan pengalaman penggunaan injeksi insulin. Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan yaitu mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan pasien dengan ketepatan cara penggunan injeksi insulin pada pasien DM tipe II di Rumah Sakit Baptis kota Batu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dan menggunakan rancangan crosssectional . Penarikan sampel pasien dengan menggunakan metode time limited sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu kusioner. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan sebanyak 52,5% responden memiliki pengetahuan baik, sebanyak 27,5% responden memilik pengetahuan cukup dan sebanyak 20,0% responden memiliki pengetahuan kurang. Hasil kuesioner ketepatan menunjukkan sebanyak 90,0% responden tepat dalam menggunakan injeksi insulin dan sebanyak 10,0% responden tidak tepat dalam menggunakan injeksi insulin. Kedua variabel tersebut memiliki nilai korelasi yang positive yaitu 0,001u(p<0,05). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang positif antara tingkat pengetahuan pasien dengan ketepatan cara penggunaan injeksi insulin pada pasien DM tipe II di Rumah Sakit Baptis kota Batu.
English Abstract
According to WHO, Indonesia is predicted to face an increase in the number of Diabetes Mellitus patients from 8,4 million in 2000 to be around 21,3 million in 2030. Misused insulin therapy is often found and considered as an important clinical problem. Accuracy in using insulin injection can be influenced by consumer knowledge, attitude and experiences in using the insulin injection. This research aims to determine the Correlation of patient knowledge level and accuracy in using insulin injection for type II Diabetes Mellitus patients in Baptis Hospital, Batu. This research is analytic observational study and used cross sectional design. Patient sample collection used time limited sampling method. The research instrument was questionnaire. Results of the research show that 52,5% of the respondents had good knowledge, 27,5% of the respondents had quite good knowledge and 20,0% of the respondents had less knowledge. Results of questionnaires on accuracy show 90,0% of the respondent appropriate use of insulin injection and 10,0% of the respondent inappropriate use of insulin injection. Both variables have positive correlation value namely 0,001u(p<0,05). So, it can be concluded that there was a positive correlation between patient knowledge level and accuracy in using insulin injection for type II Diabetes Mellitus patients in Baptis Hospital, Batu.
