Abstract

Penyakit hati merupakan salah satu penyebab kematian terbanyak di dunia. Hal ini dikarenakan penyakit hati sering ketahuan saat keadaannya sudah parah. Diantara penyakit hati yaitu sirosis hati yang berhubungan erat dengan fibrosis hati. Penilitian ini merupakan bagian dari penelitian payung tentang terapi curcumin terhadap fibrosis hati, yang menggunakan hewan coba berupa tikus putih dari spesies Rattus norvegicus strain Wistar yang dibuat model fibrosis dengan injeksi CCl4 intraperitoneal, lalu diberi terapi curcumin. Jumlah tikus yaitu 48 ekor yang dibagi menjadi 8 kelompok (n=6) berdasarakan dilakukannya terapi curcumin atau tidak dan lama pemberian terapi curcumin. Penelitian ini menggunakan variabel berupa Malondialdehide (MDA), yang merupakan salah satu penanda terjadinya peroksidasi lemak yang terjadi saat fibrosis hati. MDA yang diperiksa yaitu MDA jaringan hati dan MDA serum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kadar MDA jaringan hati dan MDA serum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbandingan lurus yang sedang dan signifikan antara kadar MDA jaringan hati dengan kadar MDA serum (Pearson, r=0,408, p=0,021). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kadar MDA jaringan hati berbanding lurus dengan kadar MDA serum.

English Abstract

Liver disease is one of the major cause of death worldwide due to its low detection rate, and it is usually detected already in severe condition. One of the said diseases is liver cirrhosis, which is strongly related to hepatic fibrosis. This research is part of a bigger research project about curcumin treatment against hepatic fibrosis, which used Rattus norvegicus strain Wistar rats which is injected intraperitoneally with CCl4 then treated with curcumin extract. There are a total number of 48 rats which are divided into 8 groups (n=6) based on whether they receive curcumin treatment and the duration of curcumin treatment. The variable of this research is Malondialdehyde (MDA), which is the marker of lipid peroxidation happened in the hepatic fibrosis cascade. This research analyzed the correlation between the level of MDA taken from the liver tissue and the level of MDA taken from the serum. The levels of liver tissue and serum MDA were taken and analyzed. The result of this experiment is that there is a significantly moderate positive association between the level of liver tissue MDA and the level of serum MDA (Pearson, r=0,408, p=0,021). The conclusion of this research is that there is a positive association between the level of MDA in liver tissue and serum.
