Abstract
Tingginya Angka Kematian Ibu (AKI) dihubungkan dengan anemia pada ibu hamil. Beberapa makanan dianggap tabu (food taboo) maupun dianjurkan (food belief) selama kehamilan bertujuan untuk melindungi kesehatan ibu dan janin. Namun tujuan tersebut ada yang berakibat merugikan kesehatan. Penelitian sebelumnya menyatakan bahwa food taboo memiliki pengaruh dengan kejadian anemia pada ibu hamil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali lebih dalam persepsi ibu hamil anemia terkait food taboo dan food belief. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan wawancara mendalam pada delapan orang informan kunci dan lima orang informan pendukung. Validitas data dilakukan triangulasi sumber kepada informan pendukung. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ibu hamil anemia ada yang patuh dan tidak patuh terhadap food taboo dan food belief. Hal ini dikarenakan adanya perbedaan persepsi dimana ibu hamil anemia yang patuh terhadap food taboo dan food belief mempercayai bahwa makanan dapat memberikan dampak positif maupun negatif apabila dikonsumsi selama kehamilan. Sedangkan ibu hamil anemia yang tidak patuh terhadap food taboo dan food belief dikarenakan tidak percaya dan tidak mengetahui mengenai food taboo dan food belief selama kehamilan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah ibu hamil anemia memiliki persepsinya masing-masing terhadap food taboo dan food belief. Dari persepsi tersebut, menyebabkan ibu hamil ada yang patuh dan tidak patuh terhadap food taboo dan food belief.
English Abstract
The high Maternal Mortality Rate (AKI) strongly correlated with anemia in pregnant women. Some foods that are considered taboo (food taboo) and recommended (food belief) during pregnancy aims to protect the health of mother and fetus. But some goals result in adverse health. Previous research stated that food taboo had an influence with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women. The aim of this study was to explore the perception of anemia pregnant women on food taboo and food belief. The study used descriptive qualitative approach. Indepth interview was conducted to eight key informants and five supporting informants. Data validity was carried out by source triangulation to supporting informants. The result of this study indicated that anemia pregnant women were obedient and not obedient to food taboo and food belief. This phenomena occurred due to their thaught on expected positive or negative impact during pregnancy. While anemia pregnant women who do not adhere to food taboo and food belief do not believed and do not concern food taboo and food belief during pregnancy. The conclusion of the study is that anemia pregnant women have their own perception of food taboo and food belief. From this perceptions, some pregnant women are obedient and not obedient to food taboo and food belief.
