Abstract

Tidak dapat dipungkiri dalam persaingan global setiap negara selalu berusaha untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakatnya. Indonesia sebagai negara berkembang membutuhkan mitra kerjasama bilateral untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan kebutuhan negaranya. Oleh karena itu Jepang sebagai salah satu negara maju di Asia Pasifik menawarkan kerjasama bernama Indonesia Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (IJEPA) demi meningkatkan investasi dan pembangunan. Jepang dan Indonesia bukanlah kedua negara dengan kekuatan ekonomi yang seimbang oleh karena itu tentunya butuh penyesuaian. Dari sinilah berbagai faktor pendorong Indonesia melakukan kerjasama dengan Jepang ingin diteliti penulis. Faktor tersebut terbagi menjadi dua yakni faktor general dan faktor spesifik. Penulis juga ingin mengetahui berbagai trend Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA) yang telah berjalan di beberapa negara, dan hubungan bilateral Indonesia dan Jepang. Peneliti meneliti fenomena tersebut dengan teori BTA milik Jayant Menont.

English Abstract

It’s undeniably that every country has always been trying to meet the needs of its people in such a global competition. Indonesia as a developing country needs a bilateral cooperation partners to improve the welfare and needs of the country. Therefore Japan as one of the developed countries in the Asia Pacific has offered a partnership called the Indonesia Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (IJEPA) in order to increase investment and development. Neither Japan nor Indonesia are countries with a balanced economic power, therefore this certainly needs adjustments. In this case the author wants to examine some various factors that have been encouraged Indonesia to cooperate with Japan. Its factor is divided into two, that is general factors and specific factors. The author also wants to know the various Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA) trends that have been running in several countries., as well as bilateral relations between Indonesia and Japan. The author used Jayant Menont’s BTA theory for examined this phenomenon.
