Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengui pengaruh faktor sosio-ekonomi yang diproksikan melalui biaya barang dan jasa, populasi, efisiensi keuangan, basis pendapatan, gender, dan kinerja pemerintah daerah terhadap kondisi finansial pemerintah daerah pada pemerintah daerah kabupaten/kota di Pulau Jawa tahun 2017. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah pemerintah daerah kabupaten/kota di Pulau Jawa dengan metode sampling yang digunakan adalah sampel jenuh dengan jumlah 112 kabupaten/kota, 1 kabupaten/kota dikecualikan karena ketidaktersediaan data. Analisis data yang dilakukan melalui metode regresi multivariat menggunakan aplikasi SPSS menunjukkan bahwa (1) biaya barang dan jasa berpengaruh positif terhadap kondisi finansial pemerintah daerah; (2) populasi berpengaruh negatif terhadap kondisi finansial pemerintah daerah; (3) efisiensi keuangan berpengaruh positif terhadap kondisi finansial pemerintah daerah; (4) basis pendapatan, gender, dan kinerja pemerintah daerah tidak memengaruhi kondisi finansial pemerintah daerah secara signifikan.
English Abstract
This study examines the effect of socio-economic factors, with cost of goods and services, population, revenue base, financial efficiency, gender, and local government financial performance used as a proxies, on financial conditions of local governments in Java in 2017. The population for this study is regency and city governments located in Java. All 113 regency and city governments in Java were used as samples in this study except for one regency that was excluded due to data unavailability. The collected data were analyzed using multivariate regression with SPSS application. The result of this study showed that (1) cost of goods and services positively and significantly affects local government financial conditions; (2) population negatively and significantly affects local government financial conditions; (3) financial efficiency positively and significantly affects local government financial conditions; and (4) revenue base, gender, and local government financial performance insignificantly affect local government financial conditions
