Abstract

Semanggi (Marsilea crenata) merupakan kelompok tanaman paku air atau paku rawa yang hidup di lingkungan perairan dangkal seperti sawah, danau, dan rawa-rawa. Semanggi banyak dimanfaatkan masyarakat Surabaya sebagai makanan khas Surabaya yaitu “pecel semanggi”. Hal ini mendorong masyarakat Surabaya untuk membudidayakan tanaman semanggi. Pada saat ini tanaman semanggi mulai banyak dibudidayakan masyarakat terutama di Kecamatan Benowo, Dusun Sememi dan Dusun kendung. Masyarakat Dusun Sememi dan Dusun Kendung membudidayakan tanaman semanggi di sawah dengan memanfaatkan air irigasi limbah masyarakat di sekitar lahan budidaya. Permintaan akan tanaman semanggi semakin meningkat seiring semakin populernya pecel semanggi dikalangan masyarakat. Namun, hasil budidaya petani masih belum bisa mencukupi kebutuhan tanaman semanggi. Produksi tanaman semanggi sering kali dipengaruhi oleh faktor biotik dan abiotik. Faktor abiotik meliputi iklim, tanah, dan air. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan survei on farm untuk mengetahui faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi hasil panen tanaman semanggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui informasi awal mengenai budidaya tanaman semanggi dan lingkungan tumbuh tanaman semanggi. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini yaitu budidaya tanaman semanggi dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan tumbuh (ketinggian genangan air irigasi yang tinggi). Penelitian ini dilakukan disentra produksi semanggi yaitu di Kecamatan Benowo, Dusun Sememi dan Dusun Kendung pada tanggal 1 Oktober sampai 25 Oktober 2016. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survei on farm. Survei dilakukan secara langsung di Dusun Sememi dan Dusun Kendung meliputi pengamatan intensitas radiasi matahari, suhu udara, kelembaban udara, ketinggian air irigasi, TDS air irigasi, pH air irigasi, pH tanah, dan N-total tanah. Selain itu, juga dilakukan pengambilan sampe; panen dengan menggunakan petak panen berukuran 1m x 1m sebanyak tiga titik. Penentuan titik pengambilan sampel penggunakan metode pattern sampling (pola ruang) yang diambil miring pada satu petak sawah di Dusun Sememi dan Dusun Kendung. Data lingkungan tumbuh dan hasil panen yang telah didapat kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Data lingkungan tumbuh dan hasil panen semanggi kemudian diuji korelasi. Hasil uji korelasi diatas 0,5 kemudian di regresi. Tujuan dilakukannya perhitungan korelasi dan regresi yaitu untuk mengetahui faktor lingkungan mana yang paling berpengaruh terhadap hasil tanaman semanggi dan seberapa besar pengaruhnya. Hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa hasil panen semanggi di Dusun Kendung lebih tinggi dibandingkan hasil panen semanggi di Dusun Sememi. Faktor yang paling berpengaruh terhadap hasil panen semanggi di Dusun Sememi dan Dusun Kendung yaitu intensitas radiasi matahari, suhu udara, ketinggian air irigasi, dan N-total.

English Abstract

Semanggi (Marsilea crenata) is a group of water ferns or swamp nails that live in shallow water environments such as rice fields, lakes and swamps. Semanggi is widely used by the people of Surabaya as a typical food of Surabaya, namely "pecel semanggi". This encourages the people of Surabaya to cultivate semanggi plants. At this time semanggi plants began to be cultivated by many people, especially in the District of Benowo, Sememi Hamlet and Kendung Hamlet. The Sememi Hamlet and Kendung Hamlet communities cultivate semanggi plants in the fields by utilizing community waste irrigation water around the cultivation area. The demand for semanggi plants is increasing as the pecel semanggi becomes more popular among the people. However, farmers' cultivation still cannot meet the needs of semanggi plants. The production of semanggi plants is often influenced by biotic and abiotic factors. Abiotic factors include climate, soil, and water. Therefore, an on-farm survey is needed to determine what factors influence the yield of semanggi plants. The purpose of this study was to find out the initial information about semanggi cultivation and the growing environment of semanggi plants. The hypothesis in this study is that the cultivation of semanggi plants is influenced by the growing environment (high inundation of irrigation water). This research was conducted at the semanggi production center in Benowo Subdistrict, Sememi Hamlet and Kendung Hamlet on October 1 to October 25, 2016. The study was conducted using the on farm survey method. The survey was conducted directly in the Sememi Hamlet and Kendung Hamlet, covering observations of the intensity of solar radiation, air temperature, air humidity, height of irrigation water, irrigation water TDS, pH of irrigation water, soil pH, and N-total soil. Besides that, taking is also done until; harvesting using three-point 1m x 1m harvest plots. Determination of sampling points using the pattern sampling method (space pattern) taken tilted on a plot of rice fields in Sememi Hamlet and Kendung Hamlet. The environmental data grows and the yields that have been obtained are then analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. Environmental data grew and semanggi yields were then tested for correlation. Correlation test results above 0.5 then regression. The purpose of the calculation of correlation and regression is to determine which environmental factors have the most influence on semanggi yields and how much they affect. The survey results show that the semanggi harvest in Kendung Hamlet is higher than the semanggi harvest in Sememi Hamlet. The most influential factors on the semanggi harvest in Sememi Hamlet and Kendung Hamlet are the intensity of solar radiation, air temperature, irrigation water level, and N-total.
