Abstract
Perkembangan era digital saat ini mempengaruhi banyak aktifitas salah satunya transaksi pembayaran online. Salah satu aplikasi yang menggunakan sistem pembayaran online adalah aplikasi perangkat bergerak OVO. Aplikasi OVO termasuk aplikasi baru yang sudah berjalan sejak 2017 namun memilki banyak keluhan pengguna yang pernah menggunakan aplikasi OVO mengenai fitur dan tampilan. Maka perlu adanya evaluasi dan perbaikan tampilan maupun fitur pada aplikasi OVO yang bertujuan membantu aplikasi OVO untuk dapat bersaing dengan aplikasi yang telah hadir sebelumnya. Pada penelitian ini, digunakan metode diary study untuk menggali pengalaman dan respon pengguna secara mendalam dan konseptual dalam penggunaan aplikasi OVO. Pengerjaan metode diary study dilakukan dengan cara wawancara, pengerjaan skenario dan dokumentasi kepada lima responden. Waktu pengerjaan metode diary study dilakukan dalam kurun waktu kurang lebih selama dua minggu. Selain dari penggunaan metode diary study tersebut, digunakan metode user journey untuk memetakan perjalanan pengguna dalam interaksinya dengan aplikasi yang diteliti sehingga didapatkan peta perjalanan pengguna yang berisikan touchpoint, thinking and feeling dan ideas for improvements dari setiap stage yang dijalankan oleh pengguna. Permasalahan yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini terkait perbaikan fitur dan tampilan. Hasil rekomendasi perbaikan fitur dan tampilan dilihat dari pemetaan perjalanan pengguna tersebut menjadi dasar dari perbaikan dan pembuatan user interface berupa prototype. Prototype akan divalidasi melalui wawancara perbaikan user interface terhadap lima respoden sebelumnya. Hasil dari validasi perbaikan user interface adalah responden mengatakan bahwa permasalahan yang dirasakan sudah terselesaikan lalu responden juga merasa senang saat menggunakan aplikasi OVO.
English Abstract
The development of the digital era has affected many activities, which one of them being online payments. One of those applications that use an online payment system is a mobile application called OVO. The application is considered new and has started operation since 2017 but has produced many complaints in regards to features and its display. Therefore evaluation and improvements regarding its display and features which can help the OVO application in competing with existing applications. This research uses a diary study method to gain further insight on experience and response from users conceptually in their use of the OVO application. The time taken to conduct the diary study was approximately 2 weeks. Besides the use of the diary study method, a user journey method was also used to map the journey of the user when interacting with the researched application, therefore gaining a journey map containing “touchpoint, thinking, and feeling” and “ideas for improvements” of every stage experienced by the user. The discovered problems in this research were about the improvement of features and display. Recommendation results regarding the improvement of features and display are gained thru the mapping of the user’s journey is used as a base for the improvements in the form of a prototype. The prototype will then be validated through interviews for improving the user interface towards five previous respondents. The results of the validation of the improvement of the user interface are the respondents said that the perceived problems were resolved and then the respondents also felt happy when using the OVO application.
