Abstract

Bayam merah merupakan tanaman sayuran yang memiliki nilai gizi tinggi dan banyak disukai masyarakat Indonesia. (Alternanthera amoena Voss) merupakan jenis bayam merah yang memiliki jumlah peminat kedua setelah bayam hijau. Keunggulan nilai nutrisi bayam merah terdapat pada kandungan vitamin A dan C, sedikit vitamin B, kalsium, fospor dan zat besi (Sunarjono, 2014). Namun dari banyaknya jumlah vitamin serta minat masyarakat terhadap bayam merah ada beberapa kendala dalam budidaya bayam merah, yaitu lahan budidaya yang bersaing dengan kebutuhan lahan sebagai tempat tinggal bagi masyarakat perkotaan di Indonesia. Hal ini mendorong penerapan sistem pertanian vertikultur yang dapat membantu memenuhi kebutuhan sayur masyarakat Indonesia dengan memanfaatkan lahan sempit. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari desain pipa vertikultur serta varietas bayam merah yang cocok ditanam secara vetikultur sehingga mendapatkan hasil yang optimal. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret – April 2019 bertempat di Roof Garden Lantai 6 Gedung Sentral, Universitas Brawijaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK). Adapun perlakuan pada rancangan tersebut adalah sebagai berikut: P1 = Desain Silang Varietas Abbang; P2 = Desain Silang Varietas Red; P3 = Desain Silang Varietas Mira; P4 = Desain Lurus Varietas Abbang; P5 = Desain Lurus Varietas Red; P6 = Desain Lurus Varietas Mira. Keseluruhan ada 6 perlakuan yang diulang sebanyak 4 kali sehingga terdapat 24 satuan percobaan. Pengamatan pertumbuhan tanaman meliputi: Tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun. Pengamatan parameter hasil meliputi: Bobot segar total tanaman, dan bobot segar total tanpa akar. Analisis data hasil pengamatan di lakukan menggunakan analisis ragam dengan tingkat kesalahan 5%, jika terdapat pengaruh nyata antar perlakuan dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut BNT pada tingkat kesalahan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Desain pipa vertikultur silang mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman pada parameter tinggi tanaman, luas daun, jumlah daun, bobot segar total, dan bobot segar total tanpa akar. Varietas Abbang mampu bertumbuh dengan baik pada vertikultur desain silang dengan jumlah bobot segar total dan jumlah bobot segar total tanpa akar sebesar 47,25 g dan 43,00 g.

English Abstract

Red spinach is a vegetable that has a high nutritional value and is widely liked by Indonesian society. (Alternanthera amoena Voss) is a type of red spinach that has a second number of enthusiasts after green spinach. The nutritional benefits of red spinach are found in the content of vitamins A and C, a little vitamin B, calcium, phosphorus and iron (Sunarjono, 2014). But from the many vitamins and people's interest in red spinach there are several obstacles in the cultivation of red spinach, namely cultivation land that competes with the needs of land as a place of residence for urban society in Indonesia. This encourages the use of verticultural farming systems that can help meet the vegetable needs of the urban people by utilizing narrow assets. The purpose of this study was to study verticultural pipe design and red spinach varieties that are suitable for verticultural cultivation so that optimal results are obtained. The research was conducted in March - April 2019 at the 6th Floor of Roof Garden Sentral Building, Brawijaya University. This study used a randomized block design (RBD). The references to the design are as follows: P1 = Cross Design of Abbang Varieties; P2 = Cross Design of Red Varieties; P3 = Cross Design of Mira Varieties; P4 = Straight Design of Abbang Varieties; P5 = Straight Design of Red Varieties; P6 = Straight Design of Mira Varieties. All these 6 treatments were repeated 4 times so there were 24 experimental units. The observation of plant growth was: Plant height, number of leaves, leaf area. The observation of yield parameters was: The total fresh weight of the plant, and total fresh weight without roots. Analysis of the observed data was carried out using a variety of analyzes with an error rate of 5%, if there was a real influence between treatments followed by a further BNT test at an error rate of 5%. The results of the study showed that the cross-cultured pipe design was able to increase plant growth in parameters of plant height, leaf area, number of leaves, total fresh weight, and total fresh weight without roots. Abbang variety is able to grow well in cross vertipie design with a total fresh weight of 47.25 g and number of fresh rootless weights of 43,00 g.
