Abstract

Hotel Grand Darmo adalah salah satu hotel berbintang empat yang terletak di belakang taman bungkul, Surabaya. Karyawan pada Hotel Grand Darmo dibagi menjadi dua yaitu karyawan kontrak dan karyawan daily worker. Penilaian kinerja untuk karyawan daily worker saat ini dilakukan setiap 3 bulan sekali oleh setiap head of department dan divalidasi oleh departemen human resources. Aspek penilaian yang digunakan dalam menilai karyawan daily worker selama ini masih berdasarkan absensi, sikap, dan hasil kerja di lapangan saja, dimana belum ada kriteria penilaian yang mencerminkan pekerjaan yang telah dilakukan oleh karyawan daily worker secara spesifik. Sedangkan penilaian kinerja yang dilakukan selama ini untuk menentukan perpanjangan kontrak karyawan, promosi naik jabatan apabila ada slot kosong, dan sebagai evaluasi pekerjaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kriteria penilaian kinerja karyawan daily worker, melakukan penilaian kinerja menggunakan metode rating scale, dan memberikan rekomendasi untuk karyawan daily worker. Metode penilaian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode rating scale. Metode ini dapat memberikan skala penilaian yang bersifat kuantitatif dalam proses penilaian kinerja. Penentuan kriteria dan subkriteria penilaian disesuaikan dengan karyawan daily worker yang mengacu pada berbagai referensi. Selanjutnya pada kriteria dan subkriteria terpilih dilakukan penentuan bobot dengan menggunakan Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Kemudian dilakukan penilaian kinerja tiap karyawan daily worker oleh setiap head of department yang bersangkutan. Hasil penilaian digunakan sebagai pertimbangan rekomendasi yang dapat diambil perusahaan untuk karyawan daily worker. Penilaian kinerja dengan menggunakan metode rating scale ini memiliki 8 kriteria yang dipecah menjadi 20 subkriteria. Kriteria penilaian yang digunakan adalah interpersonal skill, komunikasi, pengambilan keputusan, keterampilan, pengembangan karir, motivasi diri, kepribadian, dan kedisiplinan. Nilai karyawan dibagi menjadi golongan baik dan golongan buruk dimana golongan baik terbagi menjadi 2 bagian yaitu melebihi standar perusahaan dan sesuai dengan standar perusahaan. Berdasarkan penilaian kinerja karyawan daily worker diperoleh 34 karyawan tergolong kedalam golongan baik dan 1 karyawan masuk kedalam golongan buruk. Selain itu, berdasarkan hasil penilaian kinerja, rekomendasi yang diberikan untuk 35 karyawan yaitu 10 karyawan di rekomendasikan kenaikan status kerja, 24 karyawan di perpanjang kontrak dan 1 karyawan perlu evaluasi kinerja.

English Abstract

Grand Darmo Hotel is a four-star hotel located behind the Bungkul Park, Surabaya. There are two kinds of employee at the Grand Darmo Hotel, contract employees and daily worker employees. Performance appraisal for daily worker employees is carried out every 3 months by head of department and validated by the human resources department. The assessment aspects used in assessing daily worker employees are still based on absenteeism, attitudes, and work results in the field, where there are no evaluation criteria that reflect the work that has been done specifically by daily worker employees. The performance appraisal carried out so far is to determine the extension of the employee contract, to promote, and to evaluate. This study aims to identify the criteria for evaluating the performance of daily worker employees, to conduct performance assessments using the rating scale method, and to provide recommendations for employees of daily workers. The assessment method used in this study is the rating scale method. This method can provide a quantitative rating scale in the performance appraisal process. Determination of criteria and assessment criteria is adjusted to employees of daily workers who refer to various references. Furthermore, the selected criteria and subcriteria are weighted using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Then the performance of each daily worker employee is evaluated by each head of department concerned. The results of the assessment are used as consideration of recommendations that can be taken by the company for employees of daily workers. Performance appraisal using the rating scale method has 8 criteria broken down into 20 subcriteria. The assessment criteria used are interpersonal skills, communication, decision making, skills, career development, self motivation, personality, and discipline. The value of employees is divided into good groups and bad groups where the good group is divided into two, those who exceed company standards and those who are in accordance with company standards. Based on the assessment of daily worker employee performance, 34 employees were classified as good and 1 employee classified into the bad group. In addition, based on the results of the assessment, the recommendations given to 35 employees are 10 employees were recommended to be promoted, 24 employees were extended contracts and 1 employee needed a performance evaluation.
