Abstract

PT. Bella Agung Citra Mandiri merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur spring bed yang berlokasi di Sidoarjo, Jawa Timur. Penilaian kinerja sangat penting digunakan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja karyawan dan digunakan sebagai feedback kepada karyawan. Saat ini penilaian kinerja terhadap operator produksi hanya dilihat dari aspek kedisiplinan. Rencana kriteria yang ada di perusahaan belum bisa digunakan karena ada beberapa kriteria yang tidak sesuai. Tujuan penilaian kinerja ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kriteria dan subkriteria apa saja yang sesuai dan melakukan perhitungan hasil penilaian kinerja pada operator produksi. Hasil dari penilaian kinerja digunakan untuk pertimbangan dalam pemberian insentif dan training pada operator produksi. Penelitian ini diawali dengan mengidentifikasi kriteria dan subkriteria yang sesuai dan akan digunakan untuk form penilaian kinerja. Selanjutnya menentukan bobot pada tiap kriteria dan subkriteria yang sudah terpilih dengan menggunakan Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode rating scale. Metode rating scale adalah metode yang digunakan untuk melakukan penilaian kinerja karyawan berdasarkan faktor yang sudah ditetapkan oleh perusahaan dengan skala yang bersifat kuantitatif. Metode tersebut akan digunakan untuk menilai kinerja operator produksi di PT. Bella Agung Citra Mandiri. Hasil dari penilaian kinerja dengan menggunakan metode rating scale akan dikali dengan bobot yang sudah ditentukan. Kemudian dilakukan pengelompokan hasil perhitungan dengan kategori pada masing-masing nilai. Terdapat 4 kriteria utama yang diperoleh, yaitu kualitas kerja, kualitas kepribadian, kemampuan berpikir, dan kemampuan bersikap dewasa. Masing-masing setiap kriteria memiliki beberapa subkriteria. Kriteria kualitas kerja memiliki subkriteria quantity of work, quality of work, job knowledgement, housekeeping, customer service orientation, dan self improvement. Kriteria kualitas kepribadian memiliki subkriteria pro active, integrity and honesty, discipline, communication¸ teamwork, dan dependability. Kriteria kemampuan berpikir memiliki memiliki subkriteria analytical thinking, conceptual thinking, dan expertise. Kriteria kemampuan bersikap dewasa memiliki subkriteria self control, self confidence, dan flexibility. Penilaian ini dilakukan terhadap operator produksi sejumlah 57 orang dengan rata-rata nilai keseluruhan sebesar 3,627. Pada hasil penilaian kinerja sebesar 3 karyawan mendapat kategori sangat baik, sebanyak 44 karyawan mendapat kategori baik, dan sebanyak 10 karyawan mendapat kategori cukup.

English Abstract

PT. Bella Agung Citra Mandiri is one of the spring bed manufacturer located in Sidoarjo, East Java. It is important to use performance appraisal in order to evaluate employee’s performance and use it as a feedback for them. Nowadays, the performance appraisal for production operator in this company only focusing on discipline aspect. Some of the criterias are not suitable, therefore they can’t be used. The objective of performance appraisal is to identify the criterias and subcriterias that are suitable for the company and to calculate the result of performance appraisal on production operator. This result will be used as a consideration for giving incentive to the employee and to analyze what kind of training the company needs. The first step in this study is identify the criterias and subcriterias that are suitable and will be used in performance appraisal form. The next step is to determine weight for each criteria and subcriteria that has been chosen Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). This study use rating scale method. Rating scale is one of the most common performance appraisal method, and it is based on factors that has been set by the company with quantitive scale. This method will be used to apparaise the production operator’s performance in PT. Bella Agung Citra Mandiri. The result will be multiplied by every weights that has been determined before. The final step is to categorized all the result based on their score. There are four main criterias obtained from this rating scale method. Those are work quality, personal quality, thinking ability, and the ability to behave as an adult. Each of this criteria have some subcriterias. Quantity of work, quality of work, job knowledgement, housekeeping, customer service orientation, and self improvement is the subcriterias of work quality. Personal quality has pro active, integrity and honesty, discipline, communication¸ teamwork, and dependability as it subcriterias. Thinking ability consist of analytical thinking, conceptual thinking, and expertise. The fourth criteria, the ability to behave as an adult, consist of self control, self confidence, dan flexibility. This study used 57 production operator as respondent with the average score of 3,627. From those operators, three of them are included in very good category, while 44 are in good category and 10 operators are in moderate category.
