Abstract
Desain adalah sebutan untuk menyebut hasil akhir dari sebuah proses kreatif, baik itu berwujud sebuah rencana, proposal, atau berbentuk benda nyata sedangkan catalog desain adalah proses desain yang membuat satu database yang dapat memberikan part part desain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan waktu antara desain carbody sidewall MG – WEC kereta bangladesh dengan desain manual dan desain catalog. Dalam penel itian ini variasi yang digunakan adalah mendesain 3 gambar masing masing mempunyai desain catalog dan manual, Pada penelitian data yang di jadikan acuan adalah rata rata waktu desain 3D dan 2D manual dan catalog, rata rata waktu desain 2D manual dan catalog, dan rata rata waktu desain 3D manual dan catalog. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan catalog mempengaruhi effektifitas waktu desain.
English Abstract
Design is a designation to refer to the end result of a creative process, whether it is in the form of a plan, proposal, or in the form of a real object while the design catalog is a design process that creates a database that can provide part design parts. This study aims to determine the comparison of time between the design of the MG - WEC train sidewall carbody with manual design and catalog design. In this study, the variations used are designing 3 images, each of which has a catalog and manual design. In the research the reference data is the average time of 3D and 2D design manuals and catalogs, the average time of 2D design manuals and catalogs, and the average time of manual 3D design and catalog. This shows that catalog usage influences design time effectiveness.
