Abstract
Ilmu Perpustakaan adalah salah satu disiplin ilmu yang berkembang akibat perkembangan teknologi komputer dan telekomunikasi. ilmu perpustakaan dulu hanya mencakup tentang cara mengolah,menyimpan dan menyusun sebuah koleksi saja, atau bisa dibilang hanya mempelajari tentang teknis perpustakaan. Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman keilmuan perpustakaan sudah berkembang dan merambah ke dunia pendidikan. program studi Ilmu Perpustakaan mencetak lulusannya sebagai pustakawan. Tetapi tidak hanya menjadi pustakawan saja. Bidang pekerjaan lain yang dapat dimasuki oleh lulusan Program Studi perpustakaan adalah yang berkaitan dengan penanganan informasi, penelitian informasi, manajemen badan yang bergerak dalam bidang informasi seperti pada berbagai jenis perpustakaan, unit dokumentasi, unit informasi, arsip dan sebagainya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa baik persepsi dan minat siswa kelas 12 SMAN 1 Krembung mengenai Program Studi Ilmu Perpustakaan FIA UB. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pemilihan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan teknik Purposive Random Sampling. Dengan Pertimbangan sample pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas 12. Dan Penentuan jumlah sampel menggunakan teknik incidentall sampling dengan sampel sejumlah 80 responden. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis statistic deskriptif dan nilai tanggapan dengan perhitungan pembobotan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi siswa mengenai Program Studi Ilmu Perpustakaan FIA UB sudah baik. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan skor ratarata sebesar 3,86 yang berarti baik sementara untuk nilai tanggapan diperoleh angka 76,6, sehingga berada pada kategori “B” yang artinya baik pula. Sementara untuk minat siswa mengenai Program Studi Ilmu Perpustakaan FIA UB sudah cukup baik. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 3,16 yang berarti cukup baik sementara untuk nilai tanggapan diperoleh angka 62, sehingga berada pada kategori “C” yang artinya cukup baik pula
English Abstract
Library Science is one of the disciplines that developed as a result of the development of computer technology and telecommunications. library science first only covers how to process, store and compile a collection, or you could say only learn about the technical library. Along with the development of scientific age the library has developed and penetrated into the world of education. The Library Science study program prints graduates as librarians. But not only being a librarian. Other fields of work that can be entered by library study program graduates are those related to information handling, information research, management bodies engaged in information such as in various types of libraries, documentation units, information units, archives and etc. The purpose of this research was to find out how well the perceptions and interests of 12th grade students of SMAN 1 Krembung regarding the FIA UB Library Science Study Program. This reseaerch uses a type of descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The sample selection technique in this research was using Purposive Random Sampling techniques. With the sample consideration in this research, the 12th grade students. And the determination of the number of samples using incidentall sampling technique with a sample of 80 respondents. Data analysis in this research used descriptive statistical analysis and response values with weighting calculations. Research results showed that the students' perception of the Library Science Study Program FIA UB were good. This is evidenced by the average score of 3.86 which means good while the response value is 76.6, so it is in the category "B" which means good too. While the interest of students about the FIA UB Library Science Study Program is quite good. This is evidenced by the average score of 3.16 which means good enough while the response value is 62, so it is in the category "C" which means good enough.
