Abstract
Penyelenggaraan pendidikan di Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Brawijaya terdiri dari kegiatan perkuliahan, seminar, praktikum, kerja lapang, dalam bentuk tatap muka, serta kegiatan akademik terstruktur dan mandiri. Kegiatan praktikum adalah kegiatan akademik terstruktur yang dilakukan di laboratorium atau di tempat lain yang ditentukan. Saat ini, penyelenggaraan praktikum di Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Brawijaya memiliki masalah seperti belum adanya sumber yang teorganisir sendiri untuk mengakses hal-hal terkait pelaksanaan praktikum sehingga menyebabkan terlewatnya informasi penting seperti pembukaan rekrutmen asisten baru. Kemudian, terlambatnya pengumpulan kebutuhan seleksi karena komunikasi yang kurang efisien menyebabkan terlambat dibukanya perekrutan asisten praktikum. Sebagai solusi, dikembangkan Sistem Pengelolaan Praktikum berbasis web yang diharapkan dapat membantu untuk mengoordinasi penyusunan dan pelaksanaan praktikum. Pengembangan web menggunakan CodeIgniter Framework dengan teknologi PHP. Pendekatan dalam mengembangkan web ini menggunakan object-oriented yang pendokumentasiannya dibantu menggunakan Unified Modeling Language (UML). Sedangkan siklus pengembangan dilakukan dengan metode Waterfall. Untuk proses pengujian digunakan pengujian unit, pengujian integrasi, pengujian validasi, dan pengujian kompatibilitas. Hasil pengujian dengan metode black-box dan white-box menunjukan hasil 100% valid. Sedangkan dari pengujian kompatibilitas tidak ditemukan issues.
English Abstract
The implementation of education in the Faculty of Computer Science, University of Brawijaya consists of lecture activities, seminars, practicums, field work, in the form of face-to-face, and structured and independent academic activities. Practical activities are structured academic activities carried out in the laboratory or in other specified locations. At present, the implementation of practicum in the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya has a problem such as the absence of self-organized resources to access matters related to practicum activity, causing important information to be missed such as opening new recruitment lab assistants. Then, the late collection of selection needs because of less efficient communication led to the late opening of a lab assistant recruitment. As a solution, a web-based Practicum Management System was developed which is expected to help coordinate the preparation and implementation of lab work. Web development using CodeIgniter Framework with PHP technology. The approach in developing this web uses object-oriented which documentation is helped using the Unified Modeling Language (UML). While the development cycle is carried out by the Waterfall method. For the testing process, unit testing, integration testing, validation testing, and compatibility testing are used. The test results with the black-box and white-box methods show 100% valid results. While from compatibility testing there were no issues.
