Abstract

Edotel Pamekasan merupakan hotel milik SMK Negeri 3 Pamekasan yang beroperasi sebagai hotel sekaligus laboratorium pembelajaran siswa. Lokasinya yang berada di tengah kota dan dekat dengan kantor pemerintah Kabupaten Pamekasan menjadi kelebihan yang dimiliki oleh Edotel Pamekasan. Hal tersebut juga membuat Edotel Pamekasan menjadi hotel yang sering dipilih oleh tamu kedinasan. Namun sayangnya Edotel Pamekasan mulai kalah saing dengan hotel – hotel baru karena kegiatan operasionalnya masih dilakukan secara manual. Kegiatan operasional yang masih dilakukan secara manual menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan, seperti masalah tumpang tindih reservasi kamar di tanggal yang sama dan masalah kehabisan stok barang di gudang. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, diusulkan solusi perbaikan proses bisnis dengan implementasi sistem informasi perhotelan. Pengembangan sistem informasi perhotelan dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Rational Unified Process (RUP). Metode RUP dipilih karena kemampuan iteratifnya yang dapat menanggapi perubahan yang terjadi, ketika pemangku kepentingan tidak dapat menjelaskan kebutuhannya secara rinci. Pertama, pada fase inception dilakukan analisis terhadap 5 proses bisnis, yaitu proses bisnis reservasi, registrasi check-in, check-out, pengelolaan stok gudang, dan pelaporan operasional yang kemudian dibuatkan usulan perbaikannya. Setelah itu, pada fase elaboration dengan melalui 2 kali iterasi, didapatkan 7 fitur dengan 32 kebutuhan fungsional dan 1 kebutuhan nonfungsional sebagai dasar perancangan. Lalu, pada fase construction dilakukan implementasi kemudian dilanjutkan pengujian. Hasil pengujian black-box menunjukkan implementasi telah sesuai dengan perancangannya, sedangkan pengujian compatibility menghasilkan daftar rekomendasi peramban, salah satunya Google Chrome. Fase terakhir, yakni fase transition dilakukan instalasi sistem lalu dilanjutkan User Acceptance Testing. UAT yang dilakukan pada pegawai hotel menghasilkan rata – rata nilai sebesar 93,4% yang artinya pengguna sangat setuju pada solusi perbaikan proses bisnis dengan implementasi sistem informasi perhotelan. Pada akhir penelitian dihasilkan sebuah sistem informasi perhotelan yang dapat melakukan pengelolaan reservasi, registrasi tamu, pencarian kamar, pencatatan barang masuk, pencatatan barang keluar, dan pelaporan operasional.

English Abstract

Edotel Pamekasan is a hotel owned by Public Vocational High School 3 Pamekasan which is a hotel as well as a student learning laboratory. Located in the downtown and close to the government office of Pamekasan District is its advantage. It also made Edotel Pamekasan as a government employee’s main choice. Unfortunately, Edotel Pamekasan began to lose competitiveness with new hotels because of its operation was done manually. Operational activities that still done manually cause various problems, such as overlapping room reservations and the warehouse’s running out of stock problems. To solve those problems, business process improvement solutions with the implementation of the hospitality information system were proposed. Hospitality information systems developed with the Rational Unified Process (RUP) method. RUP was chosen because of its iterative ability that can respond to change when stakeholders are unable to explain their requirements clearly. Firstly, in the inception phase, analysis of 5 business processes and its recommendations were made, namely the business process of reservation, check-in registration, check-out, warehouse stock management, and operational reports. After that, in the elaboration phase, through 2 iterations, 7 features were obtained with 32 functional and 1 non-functional requirements for design background. Then, in the construction phase, implementation was done then continued to testing. Black-box testing shows that the implementation is in accordance with the design, while compatibility testing shows a list of recommended browsers, one of which is Google Chrome. In the final phase, in the transition phase, the system was installed then proceed to User Acceptance Testing. UAT that was done to hotel employees produces a 93.4% mean score, which means users strongly agreed on business process improvement solutions with the implementation of the hospitality information system. At the end of the study, produced a hospitality information system that can manage reservations, guest, room search, managing incoming and outgoing goods, and operational reports.
