Abstract
PR. Jaya Makmur merupakan salah satu industri rokok kelas menengah yang memproduksi rokok Sigaret Kretek Tangan (SKT) dan Sigarek Kretek Mesin (SKM). Permintaan produk SKT selalu meningkat dalam 5 tahun terakhir dari tahun 2013 hingga tahun 2018. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa minat masyarakat terhadap konsumsi rokok SKT dari tahun ke tahun semakin meningkat. Peningkatan permintaan rokok SKT di PR. Jaya Makmur belum diimbangi dengan peningkatan kapasitas produksi, sehingga mengakibatkan adanya peningkatan beban kerja pada pekerja produksi rokok SKT. Target produksi SKT selama tahun 2019 adalah 8.250 karton per bulan. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut diperlukan penelitian untuk mengetahui besarnya beban kerja dan membuat rekomendasi perbaikan untuk mengurangi beban kerja pada pekerja produksi rokok SKT di PR. Jaya Makmur. Penelitian ini menggunakan Stopwatch Time Study (STS) dan Workload Analysis (WLA). Langkah-langkah penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu menganalisis metode kerja dengan menyesuaikan peta tangan kiri dan kanan berdasarkan elemen kerja. Tujuannya untuk melakukan perbaikan metode kerja. Kemudian menghitung waktu standar dan besarnya beban kerja. Setelah itu membuat rekomendasi perbaikan dan memilih rekomendasi perbaikan berdasarkan aspek biaya. Dari hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa besar beban kerja per orang jika menggunakan metode kerja lama dari proses pelintingan rokok sebesar 110,55%, beban kerja dari proses pengepakan bungkus rokok sebesar 116,47%, beban kerja dari proses pengepakan slop rokok sebesar 115,18%, beban kerja dari proses pengepakan ball rokok sebesar 107,25%, dan beban kerja dari proses pengepakan karton rokok sebesar 75,96%. Jika menggunakan metode kerja baru berdasarkan usulan perbaikan metode kerja maka beban kerja dari proses pelintingan rokok sebesar 107,21%, beban kerja dari proses pengepakan bungkus rokok sebesar 109,13%, beban kerja dari proses pengepakan slop rokok sebesar 108,96%, beban kerja dari proses pengepakan ball rokok sebesar 103,96%, dan beban kerja dari proses pengepakan karton rokok sebesar 72,98%. Terdapat tiga rekomendasi perbaikan, yaitu menambah tenaga kerja, melakukan kerja lembur, dan memberi insentif. Berdasarkan aspek biaya, perusahaan disarankan untuk memilih rekomendasi ketiga, yaitu memberi insentif. Rekomendasi yang dipilih berdasarkan perhitungan beban kerja dengan menggunakan metode kerja baru. Rekomendasi perbaikan untuk mengurangi beban kerja pada proses pelintingan rokok adalah dengan memberikan insentif sebesar Rp 202.465,70. Untuk pekerja pengepakan bungkus rokok adalah dengan memberikan insentif sebesar Rp 292.536,60. Untuk pekerja pengepakan slop rokok adalah dengan memberikan insentif sebesar Rp 236.859,80. Dan untuk pekerja pengepakan ball rokok adalah dengan memberikan insentif sebesar Rp 103.013,20.
English Abstract
PR. Jaya Makmur is one of the middle-class cigarette industries that produce Hand-Rolled Cigarettes (SKT) and Machine-Rolled Cigarettes (SKM). Demand for SKT products have always increased in the last five years from 2013 to 2018. This shows that public interest in the consumption of Hand-Rolled Cigarettes from year to year is increasing. Increased demand for SKT in PR. Jaya Makmur has not been balanced by an increase in production capacity, resulting increase in workload for Hand-Rolled Cigarettes workers. The production target for 2019 is 8.250 cartons per month. To overcome this problem, research is needed to find out the workload and make recommendations for improvements to reduce the workload on Hand-Rolled Cigarettes workers in PR. Jaya Makmur. This research uses Stopwatch Time Study (STS) and Workload Analysis (WLA). The steps of the research are analyzing work methods by adjusting the Left and Right-Hand Chart based on work elements. The goal is to improve work methods. Then calculate the standard time and the workload. After that, make recommendations for improvements and choose recommendations based on cost aspects. Based on results of the study, the workload per worker if using the old work methods in the cigarette rolling workers is equal to 110,55%, the workload of the cigarette pack workers is equal to 116,47%, the workload of the cigarette slop workers is equal to 115,18%, the workload of the cigarette ball workers is equal to 107,25%, and the workload of the cigarette carton workers is equal to 75,96%. The workload per person if using the new work methods of the cigarette rolling workers is equal to 107,21%, the workload of the cigarette pack workers is equal to 109,13%, the workload of the cigarette slop workers is equal to 108,96%, the workload of the cigarette ball workers is equal to 103,96%, and the workload of the cigarette carton workers is equal to 72,98%. From this research, 3 improvement recommendations are emerged to overcome this issue. Those alternatives are workers addition, do overtime work, and providing incentives. Recommendation chosen based on new work methods. The improvement recommendation to reduce the workload on the process of cigarette rolling is to provide incentives of Rp 202.465,70. On the process of cigarette pack is to provide incentives of Rp 292.536,60. On the process of cigarette slop packing is to provide incentives of Rp 236.859,80. And the process of cigarette ball packing is to provide incentives of Rp 103.013,20. There is no need to provide incentives for the process of cigarette carton packing, because it does not overloaded work. The workload of the process of cigarette carton packing is 72,98%.
